    Let me get this straight. If a driver is 5 minutes away, someone would turn him down for someone 20 minutes away because of the colour of their skin? Ridiculous.

    Seen this on the Daily Mail online. The comment section was full of people supporting this, all whilst the same people commenting on it lambast the Middle East for "being stuck in the dark ages".

    People who have been overcharged by a non white driver. I work for a fairly large taxi firm, we have 505 drivers. Nearly every time I get a complaint about an overcharge it was a west asian driver who did the hire. Asking for a white driver is now fairly common among our customers.

    I drive for a large firm and can back you up there, people always moaning that the asians tend to overcharge. A couple of weeks ago i picked up springburn to buchanan bus station. As soon as he got in he asked for a quote to prestwick, and added that he wasnt for doing it if the driver asian (used p bassa phrase) ironically the dude was polish and his hatred was deep rooted

    Don't think you would easily find a white taxi driver over here in Brussels.

    I only had trouble a couple of times with a taxi driver and try to avoid them now. But it is the same everywhere: some are great, some are ok and some are *, but this does not depend on the colour of their skin.
