The only reason some fans don't believe a word that P Lawwell say is the MSSM and a small number of malcontents , have ridiculed him and even reduced to the level of the original Scot's Hun and referred to him as Liewell . When you have people on Celtic forums who either through ignorance or because they could not live with a successful Celtic , resort to any level to destroy Mr Lawwell and anyone else trying to achieve success at Celtic.

Ulster I think some people feel a certain level of frustration aimed at the celtic board and particularly Peter lawwell.

I think delia first and foremost was not supported in the transfer market. It closes in a few days and he hasn't spent a penny on a transfer yet. I'd look over it if we haven't been winning leagues or not been in the champions league the past couple of seasons and the money isn't there, but that's not the case.

The real mistake isn't just fletcher gate etc, it's the same mistake year in and year out. We wait to see if we qualify before we buy in. We even sell our star assets before we are out of the champions league in some occasions.

Why can't we hold on to waymama and foster and hooper etc until we have either qualified or we are out and also do our business early to ensure best possible chance to sit at the big table.

By failing to prepare,we are preparing to fail.

It's like a restaurant buying in cheaper products and staff not trained to the level of the ones leaving. Can that restaurant still expect to deliver the same quality product to its customers??

I think the strategy needs more ballance , its going to far into the business side ghan football , the board need to do a gesture to regain some respect dignity watever , maybe picking a great cause and donating a nice amount of dosh to this to capture public imagination and some nice media attention , show its not all about the money .

The only reason people dislike Lawell is because the media tells us he's a bad guy! Really? You actually believe that?

You believe that the fans of Celtic who have THE biggest mistrust in the SMSM, hang off their every word? furthermore are actually mindcontrolled into thinking Lawell is taking the * regardless of the fact that anyone with 2 eyes & a brain can tell that yes, he is actually scanting 60k fans in plain sight! I think the 11000 former season ticket holders and the many more st holders who fail to appear on a weekly basis, speak more volume regarding the joke that Celtic are becoming under this quip laden charlatan, than some * writing for a rag or some utter Fud on this forum claiming verbatim that essentially we're all being fooled by the papers rather than the CEO! You should give the majority of fans more respect intellectually than what you have in your post!
Sorry mate but what a conceited * you are! * you and the rest of the Lawell band of brothers! Driving our club into a cesspit of mediocrity season by season!

PL has done a fantastic job for celtic, but he has failed us, the fans, when it really matters, we have needed players in the past few years but we always seem to get our third or fourth targets and always 2 weeks to late, simply not good enough

Its his fault if he wont authorise the signings of better players for more money.

He looked reasonably uncomfortable there. He knows he's * up.

I agreed, and still do to an extent, about the philosophy the club have these days. It is sensible, prudent and can be enormously satisfying to buy low, nurture and sell high - especially in these markets.

I think he realises though that he has scraped the barrel too often. I am not sure that he will stop though. He has an accountants brain and they are always looking at the balance sheets..

That team I have watched in Europe this year have worried me a lot. Salzburg and Zagreb may take us to the cleaners.

Isn't Desmond in charge of the finances?

It seems that Lawwell takes the blame for Desmond being a cheapskate *.

We need a Lawell, but we also need his opposite on the board, someone who would argue the case of the need for investment. He is trying to strike a balance with an organic sway towards keeping money in the business, and once a strategy is set he isn't dynamic enough to quickly change when it goes * up. I have stated before on this site that a Director of Operations or Football would be that very chap to get the balance. The rest of the board are nothing more than wealthy figureheads who have no gumption or vision.
I would also sack the chap who heads up our marketing! We are Celtic, massive name global brand but we fail to capitalise fully on this. We don't seem to do many deals. We should play 2-3 actual league games in New York or Toronto.....this would grow our brand even further, get the next generation of North Americans passionate about us instead of * Chelsea or Man City.....and make some money. We will be attracting close to a 20 year low in attendances this season. And no one in senior management knows what to do.
