    People down here do.

My accent isn’t really from anywhere, I suppose it’s an Ayrshire/Glasgow mix.

People from Glasgow don’t bat an eyelid at the way I talk until I say “aye I ken” that’s about as Ayrshire as it gets.

Same with people in Ayrshire, I don’t say ahleevin or feenish etc so have been labled a posh accent before :56:

Like nah mate I just talk kinda normal...ken eh?

I've maybe worked that one out. People from Banknock go to Denny High School (In Denny obviously)......a place without the weegie twang......and the Catholic kids go to St Modans (in Stirling)......definetley no weegie twang there. Any further West and their going to high schools in Kilsyth or Kirkintulloch.....which are in Lanarkshire. If folk from Banknock went to schools there they'd likely talk with a more weegie accent. This might be true for a lot of places

'Pure' didn't bother me. It was when I heard folk saying, 'Is it actual?' that drove me nuts.

I grew up in Glasgow but have spent most of the last 20 years either abroad or in englandshire..

I speak pretty clean English ( drop in the odd 'wee', 'pish' and '*') , so have an accent but no colloquialisms. Most folk can tell I'm Scottish but not from which part. Foreigners get confused. Often think I am Irish.

Lived in Dundee for a year (apologies anyone from there) but frankievboyle and Jerry Sadowitz jokes about Dundee always crack me up!
