Well, aye our digestion system has more similarities with herbivores, long intestines, weak stomach acid so we can't break down down raw meat.etc.

I'm not going to entertain the rest of that with an answer, * sake haha.

If that's aimed at me, I didn't say either was right. It's no less tragic but there's an obvious difference. Farm animals will continue to be killed until we, collectively, decide to stop eating meat. They're domesticated; there's nowhere for them to go, so they're fate's kind of sealed until we make that decision. That's not the case with wild animals. It's easier to prevent hunting than animal agriculture, although we should be working towards both.

I ate raw meat once, musta broke down cause I never shat out a pork chop, was a perfectly normal watery jobbie.

Have you no decency as to entertain my line of answering? Can't we just meat somewhere in the middle?

Our teeth are best suited to grinding plant matter as well, not tearing flesh.

    Eh?

Aye nae bother Einstein - far easier to munch on a KFC boneless bucket than it is to gnaw at a raw turnip.

    Bunch of plant-apologist bumders.

No...i dont agree. I am not complaining about the fact that it died a painful or non painful death, i am aghast at the idea of hunting for pleasure, especially animals such as this.....which is endangered!

If she needed it for food, then ok....but she is a rich * cow with nothing better to do than satisfy her bloodlust by firing a modern high powered rifle into the side of a defenceless animal. How could she miss? How can she derive pleasure from it?

I have no problem with a native hunting and eating.....i have a major problem with morons like this who pay for the 'pleasure' of being the executioner.

Ok you do realise neanderthals and modern day humans aren't the same?

There is a higher percentage of obesity seen in meat eaters than either vegans or vegetarians.
Something tells me that isn't just a coincidence.

    It's not.

Vegans are boring * at BBQ's - we meat eaters are there with our full bellies and they just sit their with their grilled artichokes.

Tell me who the winner is there, eh?

Well fair enough, but I just think it's weird how you can say this is disgraceful when what we do to animals like cows etc. Is far worse than what happens to the animals she hunts. What makes killing and eating for pleasure bbetter than killing for pleasure?

Im not happy about our treatment of other animals.I personally never eat lamb or veal, i havent eaten beef for at least 20 years and stopped drinking milk when i found out how maltreated cows were to produce it.

I do still eat the odd meat product now and then, but my diet is predominantly chicken and fish, like that of a few others.
Even at that though, im not happy about it, but struggle to find a solution to my poor palate and culinary skills.

    * eating vegetables and plants for the rest of my life, meat all the way. I couldn't give two hoots if it increases my chances of cancer by 0.00000001%.

On topic, i think there is a distinct difference between animals bred for eating, which chickens et al are. Yes its cruel the way they are mass produced and farm fed, but it does serve a purpose in feeding people.

Killing a Giraffe, which you have no intention of eating, but simply want to take a picture of and post all over the internet is cruel and in my opinion wrong.

Vegan food is amazing, mate. Mexican bean burgers, Brazilian red pepper and chickpea steaks... Tastes better than it sounds. :smiley-laughing002:
