Similar story LL.1986 on the boat heading to Ibrox and 11 years old. They had the boat obviously being at home and there was about 15 of Celtic among hundreds of the *. At that time there was a lot of Republicans working on the boats from West Belfast and New Lodge etc. They set us up in the crews mess to protect us. Me not giving a * (I had a d death wish when I was young) sneaked away from my aul boy to have a nosey. Sort of like going to the zoo to see the animals.

Anyway, me being in the hoops, I got knocked to * out by a fat skinhead in his 30s. I grew up in a street that had no Peace wall, so we lived next to them bar a waste field and always rioting. This same * Lived roughly about 10 houses away in the same row in the Protestant end. Lo and behold fat bollix got trailed around pitch side by the polis and was spitting at our support going past like a caged monkey during the match. Totally unrelated to hitting me. * always floats to the top.

My aul boy used to yarn with the boats head of security back in 80s. He was an ex cop and in the OO and he said he hated them crossing because they were notorious for wrecking the ship.

Born and raised in England so I didn't have much experience of them until I was about 11-12 years old. Was at a local musical event with the family wearing my celtic top and a drunk * hun come at me pushing me around. Step dad had to rescue me.... suppose that woke me up on how much of a * they really are.

I can't imagine doing that journey amongst them regularly :giggle1:

My first game against them was the 6-2. Was always asking to go but the old man put me off that til I was about 13....and I was right beside them in the main stand. They were doing the cut throat signs at me/us all game and putting the wooly hats down like balaclavas :giggle1:

I'm no even gonna lie, although the wall was in between and the polis....it was still unnerving as a kid hahaa..

I said my wee story before but was only half joking as I've always hated them. Drummed in to me by my da and my uncle moreso..

I grew up in ibrox and had the luxury of seeing the animals at the zoo every other Saturday :56:
I must have been a out 10, my upstairs neighbour, a good *, got stabbed for wearing a green tshirt. A out and out proper family man, never bothered anyone and round about that time was when I started getting abuse from them on a Saturday because I was wearing our colours, never got done in but grown men spitting on me and grabbing me up against fences and threatening me for being a *.
I remember all the * when judas signed for them, I think I was 7 when he signed and that was the first time I noticed that there was something wrong with them but didn't hate them at this point. They used to head up bella park during preseason and I remember judas had someone with him, like a bodyguard and * trying to attack him at the top of broomloan road, tbf not sure if that was one of us or not

Ive heard that the area around Ibrox and Govan in general is predominantly Celtic. Ive never lived there so cant vouch for it but Ive heard a lot of people say that. Is it true?

My wee lassie told her primary 1 teacher "Jesus died because rangers killed him" . I got called to go up to the school about that. I was trying no to * myself laughing. The head teacher wasnt very amused and didnt find it funny at all.

The strange thing is I didnt tell her that, or teach her it. She said it of her own accord.

growing up in Blantyre there was/is a huge hun secondary school literally around the corner from my home so I had to walk through that scum daily wearing my primary/secondary Catholic school uniform. This ceased being a problem for me around the age of 14 as by then I was 6 foot tall and about 13 stone, loved watching them hiding their hun scarfs and crossing the road to avoid me, bullies show their true colours while I was brought up not to bully and to this day have never started a fight, although I've left some scum with little choice but to fight or bolt

I used to have to pass bye the protestant school on my way to and from primary school. I don't think there was a day that went bye without getting dogs abuse or beaten up by them and nothing was ever done by the school even though our parents approached the school and the Police re the attacks. Nothing was ever done until one boy got it bad one day and ended up in a critical condition in hospital. It was only then that the school posted teachers at the school gates and/or a token cop would turn up occasionally. So I would say that I have hated them since I was about 5 and then learned to despise them when I began to grow old enough to know what horrible low life * they were.

Aye most of govan is Celtic, ibrox area was 50/50, most of them live in kinning park, which leaves the rest of govan more Celtic
