Yep. I would honestly say I don't ever feel in danger in the city centre. A while ago at night you take a wrong turn and your *.

I'm 80% sure they are. Government defos don't want them up for commonwealth games. Imagine those monostrosities getting beamed out to the world.

What's the generally consensus about Castlemilk now? The name castlemilk has a bad rep, but I've been down there a few times recently and it doesn't seem so bad.

The map shows it as least deprived 20% in the West, bad in the middle the least deprived 40% in the East? So a mixed bag, true enough I guess?

It sure is mate, along with Toryglen.

Prospecthill circus in Toryglen is a total no-go area after dark, unless of course you're accompanied by a SWAT team.

My street's in the least deprived 40%. Up ye! :bbpd:

In all seriousness, I agree with most of that. Pretty close to reality.

I worked on a job in Toryglen. We knew it was rough and we had a lot of very expensive equipment, so we hired the local hard man and his mates for protection. The night before we started work, a junkie turned up with a gun and tried to nick our gear. Our 'security' decided to pay him a visit after and set about him. The guy was that out of it on smack, it took him three days to realise his legs were broken. We had people shooting at us with air rifles, folk getting knives pulled on them etc and this was during the day. It was * at night. The amout of hypodermic needles I saw was unreal. Some experience. Some place.

The security/gangsters were nice guys assuming you were on their side. Very polite haha.

I genuinely haven't heard of half the places in this thread. Garngad sounds like a city in Soviet Russia. Is Lambhill not meant to be quite rough?
