    Not me that done this (honest) but my mate's bird is quite sentimental so when he gives her stuff for her birthday or christmas she keeps all the old cards at the bottom of the wardrobe.

    One year he forgot her birthday so just gave her one of the old cards in a new envelope and told her the present hadn't been delivered on time.
