100% certain. He will have had 2 and a bit seasons by then. No Celtic manager has survived that long without winning the title for a long time.

Its amazing the degree of leeway fans are willing to give Lenny. I cant imagine fans giving anyone else three and a bit seasons to win the title. Certainly noone since Tommy Burns.

Its painful even thinking of Rangers winning this year :54: they just can't.

If Lennon matches this season with last season and the refs cut out their biased decision making then the league is an absolute stick on.

(I'm not saying refs cost us the league last year but we had way too many game changing decisions go against us that were not applied inconsistantly consistent against Rangers and thats not a typo.)

League is a must. External factors must be overcome this year especially with the route to CL Group Stages being easier for this years champions.

Who cares it's not even worth thinking imo

Any way I am certain it will not come to that we started to gel just after new year think how good we will be next season if we play like we did in the 2nd half of the season for a full season, we will be champions next season I'm certain of that :50:

The only way he would survive is if he won the Europa League.

Two years in a row without the title is too much for the manager of Celtic to survive unless there is some serious European success.

It isn't going to happen anyway, I have rarely been more confident in a title success than I am about next season. We will win with a few points to spare imo.

my feeling as well mate, going into last season I was very fearful of our chances I thought it would take a lot to fling together a team of strangers to take the title off a stubborn huns team. But going into next season we are far more equipped to win the title we are playing as a team and playing good football at the same time not winning the title is not even thinkable, we will win the league and by a canter at that :50:

First of all, the situation would not be black & white. It is not a simply a case of saying.........

If Neil Lennon wins the league next year he keeps his job.

    or

If Neil Lennon doesn't win the league next year he should be sacked.

It all depends how the season pans out. Everything has to be looked at in context. For example, if Celtic finish with 95pts next season but Rangers finish with 96pts then I think it would be grossly unfair to sack Neil Lennon after that.

On the other hand, if Rangers go on to win the league by 10pts then I think Neil Lennon's position would be under real threat. He would accept that himself.

I think this will forever remain a hypothetical question. I have serious doubts about Ally McCoist's ability to be a successful Rangers manager and I feel confident that Neil Lennon will lead us to the title next season.

same here m8 I can see super sally being inclined to try and turn the current huns team into an attacking outfit which I don't think will work, my gut instinct is he'll drop the anti football tactics that have made them successful recently.

Good times ahead no need to dwell on what might happen, keep the faith :shamrock:

Thinks its a tough one with Lennon, he does what you want in a manager. Hes made great signings so far, got the team playing football the Celtic way and seems to be a great motivator. Sometimes its just down to the team not turning up and i dont think enough people take that into account.

Winning the League is not the most important to me. I go to the games to enjoy the games, winning the League is obviously better than winning any one off League match unless we wallop the huns by 5/6 goals but I would rather have a season like last season were we play quality stuff, theres a great atmosphere and quality players on the park thats exciting to go and watch and as the song goes "I just cant get enough" of it.

For me a good season doesnt come down to the League being won or lost.

    2001 - great
    2002 - great
2003 - great (never won the League)
    2004 - great
    2005 - * (nearly won it)
2006 - good (won the League)
    2007 - * (won the League)
    2008 - * (won the League)
    2009 - * (nearly won the League)
    2010 - *
2011 - great (never won the League)

I the last 11 seasons we've had 5 great seasons and only won the League in 3 of them and 5 * seasons and won the League in 2 of them.

Like 2007 and 2008, I was bored oot my * those 2 full seasons and we done 2 and 3 in a row but I was just glad to get them out the road and hope to see a return of a bit of quality.

    For me:

    1. Winning in style
    2. Losing in style
    3. Winning * - possibly sackable if its more than one year of * in a row.
    4. Losing * - sackable offence
