Agree wholeheartedly, that * at the end of the transfer window was embarrasing on here.

This is the sort of thing that happens, yeah it might not have made major impact, but that centre of midfield needed sorting.

We learned that we will never be able to compete in this competition again, any money we make for qualifying from now on should go to make sure we rule Scotland and get the 10

1.we still need to spend on our defence.
2.we still need to spend on a keeper.
3.we still need to spend on midfield.
4.we aint as good as we think we are.
5.we are at best a europa level team.
6.They may as well reduce the CL down to one group and put the big 4 in it to decide who wins it as its all a * joke.

Sinclair can do damage at this level if he sees enough of the ball.

I didn't learn much in terms of Barcelona.

Everything I saw tonight I already knew beforehand. I think we did give them too much respect though. In some ways we were losing before we even stepped on the park. Players looked in awe.

It's big meh from me.... Barca are light years ahead of us financially...Note to Lawwell, don't back the manager with quality signings that will be norm at this level...

    - A defensive midfielder who'll get stuck in is badly needed; how many seasons is it since Wanyama left now?
    - 5 at the back and containing for 90 minutes doesn't work against teams who play against this style week-in-week-out.
    - The team isn't motivated when they're allowed to believe that they're huge underdogs and that the result doesn't matter.
    - De Vries probably isn't an upgrade on Gordon, not that he had any chance with any of the goals (bar maybe the free kick).

plenty of these players are not new to losing in europe so i dont see what they will learn that is new to them.
The manager will on the other hand learn more about his players and tell him who is able to cut it in the spl but not in europe.

I still think Brendan deserves at least a season before we judge his CL team as I thought it was impressive he got us back into it so quickly after the last two seasons.

Barcelona are possibly still the best team the world has seen with those 3 forwards, then there's Iniesta, Busquets.......

I do think we need another Wanyama style player, hopefully we get one for next season.

Exactly how I felt. This ' Just happy to be there ' patter done my box in. We are currently a good Europa League standard team at the moment. Hopefully within the next 2-3 years we will be a consistent champions league group stage with the occasionally last 16 venture standard team.

Doubt that will happen, so theres a bad start.

Doesn't look up to much which is disappointing.

He struggled tonight in that position which isn't surprising, Rogic should have been there.

He has to reform that if not theres going to be another humping.

Can't multi quote on my phone, but I'm glad a good few people agree that we're not the first or last to get pumped off Barca away. Some of the goals were maybe disappointing but I still think if we had prevented the sloppy ones they would have found another way through somehow. We're still very much a work in progress and things have been looking good so far under BR, can only see good things for us given more time under the gaffer and with investment of CL money, keeping our best players, etc in the next couple of years! Beating newly promoted dross at the weekend there doesn't make us world beaters and losing to probably the best team in the world tonight doesn't make us * either. Tough one to take but we'll be fine. Can't really say that's learning much though, it's pretty much stuff we would have known already.

Only thing I learned is Scott Sinclair is better than I thought he was and I am absolutely perplexed how Aston Villa managed to sign him never mind willingly sell him.

    Genuine class act.

only thing we have learned if you want to compete with the top clubs in europe we would have to spend £200 million in the transfer market and thats not going to happen . the tv money has made it a unlevel playing field for celtic in europe and we cant compete on the playing field with the big clubs .
we just hope the club can get 3rd place and get into the europa league .

This Barca team will go down in history as one of the best ever.
