    Agreed.

Toure and Erik, for me, is a very decent centre half pairing for the CL. Lustig can cut it and I believe Tierney can hold his own as well.

We know Brown can. Sinclair looked more than capable against Barca. Roberts in the first half got at them as well, beating a few players and winning a free kick or two.

Bitton, not convinced. Rogic and Dembele have yet to prove it but I'm confident they can do damage at this level.

I know what you mean now and would probably agree. I think we're in a weird position where we are easily good enough to qualify into the groups but then we are going to be up against it against most teams in the Group stages.

When it comes to this season I only really look at the performances and hope for improvement as we go on, it'll be far from a disaster if we finish bottom but if we finish bottom without putting up some sort of fight then I'll be disappointed. I think we have good enough qualities in our side to be a tricky game for the likes City and Monchengladbach. Just hope the 7-0 the other night doesn't knock the stuffing out of us, although it really shouldn't as Barca are a different animal and none of our remaining games will be anywhere near that difficult.

I see what you are saying about Bitton and I used to really, really rate him but it feels like we've been waiting an eternity now for him to get his head out of his hole. We need someone better than him.

First half we done fairly well, 1 defensive lapse and they score early then after the penalty miss they go 2 up wrecking the mentality in the team.

The big change was Iniesta on, there was so much space and time for him and the front 3 just constantly switched positions sending our defence into a nightmare.
I mind someone saying in the Barca thread that Rakitic is better than Iniesta as well :smiley-laughing002:

You will NOT get a bigger Celtic man than Keane. He was hurting last night just like most of us

I understand that Sean. You know what I'm referring to. Keane is disappointed in how much we have fallen in Europe. Wasn't too long ago when the so called BIG teams struggled to beat us

When you're hurting you don't take it out on the fans by patronising them. Instead of being negative he should just have applauded Barca and said there were some positives to take from the game and he can't wait to see what Brendan does with this Celtic team because it's such a big club it deserves a big manager who can bring exciting times back.

Keane has a soft spot for Celtic at the very most, he was a Spurs fan growing up.

Number one concern for Brendan now is to find a defensive midfielder from within his current squad who can protect the back line. Even if that means switching one of his CB's to fulfil that role or take a risk with a younger option.

He now knows Bitton is not a viable option in that role, and he has to make a big decision soon on it.Failing that decision, we will be brutally exposed again in all the forthcoming Champions League games.

Paul the Tim is a bigger Celtic man than Keane.

Don't see him calling himself Roy Keane the Tim.

What a load of * Venglos.

The Celtic job didn't 'rock his boat' and that's a quote. Slightly different to real Celtic men like Lenny, MON and Brendan who all said they'd walk to Glasgow to manage Celtic.

Should really look these things up before making yourself look like a *. He wrote in his first autobiography that he was a Spurs fan growing up.

And there are probably more Spurs fans in Cork than Celtic ones at the moment.

Deebo. Roy Keane once said he would walk from London to Parkhead bare foot for the Celtic job.

On his terms of course, not Lawwell's * terms. That is why Owen Coyle knocked back the Celtic job, * terms that would have ruined his reputation and set himself up for a fall from grace with the Celtic fans. Ditto Keane.
    Brendan take note.
