Disagree 100% with the first part and agree 100% with the latter

Really? I thought we were cutting through them quite easily anytime we actually attacked their centre backs with any sort of intensity, it's just we prepared to pass to the wings slow as * and lob the ball into the box.

No they are still Norwegian champions. Like Chelsea are English champions even though there in relegation fight. 6th in a league but 4 points from the top with a new manager just in giving them massive boost for playing us.

Very little. I don't say this out of anti Ronny hysteria but we are commiting similar mistakes to the ones against Legia and Maribor. This is more worrying than the results themselves. The lineup and tactics never change to suit the situation. Commons scored half of our goals in Europe and assisted other two, but he still starts in the bench or in the wrong position to give a Johansen that last done something useful 6 months ago a chance to play in his favourite place whenever possible. There is a refusal to learn lessons from the coaching staff. The lack of investment from the board plays a huge part too but a lot more could be done with the resources that are already here.

Tom English has a very good article about this in BBC this week.

I saw some of their matches. They are a quite good team offensively but really naive defensively indeed. They obviously have some merit and are a good team but it's undeniable we were embarassing against them

I never said they weren't, I'm saying when we played them they were also a mid table Norwegian team and they still are at this moment.

Top of the league has 69 points, Molde have 52.

In that case we were a mid table Scottish team as Aberdeen were above us

2nd is mid table? I would say that's at the top end of a league.

They've been mid table all season. They are still mid table.

Can you point out where I've said they aren't?

For those who are in love.....
Molde were * at the back in my opinion, even in Norway. It's just we were abysmal away in a creative sense and no one really turned up....add to the fact, defensively we were non existent starting from midfield..

They are a clever side, very good at knowing what they have to do but you could see when we cut them open the odd time away and certainly at Celtic park, that they were panicky and why they were defending with 10 men camped in there half at home, before breaking on the counter..

Much better in the 2nd half of the season though. They had a poor start to the seaon, but they're easily good enough to challenge for the title again next year.

It doesn't change the fact right now and when we played them that's where they were mate.

Yes, but they were good in the second half in the season when we met them. If we'd met them in the spring or summer, we'd have a different result.

Then how come they haven't moved up from better than that in the table since then? I know what you're trying to get at, all I'm getting at is they worked as a team but were no world beaters. They should be held up as an example of what happens when you work as a team and have your tactics spot on.

Because Ajax and Fenerbache didn't do that and we certainly never.

They were down to 8th at one point with a big gap, they closed the gap and moved up the 6th. They couldn't get any further, but based on the last third of the season they had the third best record.

I agree with your point btw, just being pedantic about this :smiley-laughing002:

Rosenborg are the current Norwegian champions, mate. Molde won in 2014.

Its easy to degrade what a team are but they were Norwegian Champions when we met them and they finished as winners of Group A in the Europa League.

My original comment was to just show that they were more than just a mid table Norwegian team like Og1 commented.

The board, chief executive and us fans should learn that selling/letting leave big players like our centre halves, centre midfielders and strikers that have done well and allowed us to compete in europe and not replacing them with good enough quality replacements

we never seem to learn this lesson or our guardians arent really trying to
