Saw a programme last year showing a lot of Irish bars in Barcelona get together to do a day. Think it's growing in strength with the Catalans joining in. Wouldn't mind being there the 17th.

    Is Cork a bit mental?

Only 2 people I know from Cork are off their nuts and only know 1 story about it, a guy I know(Scottish) was working there and went into a pub were the big barman asked him where he was from and then if he knew X other guy and he said he did, so he phoned a guy and asked him if he was alright :56: just to drink in a pub.

Also only other think I know about it is Roy Keanes from there.

Bit of a republican stronghold, or at least that is where a lot of volunteers came from. Some spot.

Cork is also the lightest part of Ireland.

I've forgotten to mention the RYANS pub in Cork. It's a bit outside of the town. I was there some years ago. Does anybody know this pub? That's where I want to be at St.P.Day!

No problem. Chicago has the best celebration though as they make the Chicago River green.

Have lived in both cities. Both are amazing and fun. Boston wins for me but not by a lot.

Since I have lived in both and have to choose else where....I will take Dublin. Been there several times, but never for St. Patrick's Day.

Dubliners don't tend to celebrate St Patrick's Day too much, funnily enough. I've heard that they prefer to celebrate St George's Day. :50:
