I think that's the most important factor in this sure he wouldn't be looking for much no harm in taking him from now till the end of the year

He's too slow to play there, but it'd free up the likes of Lustig to move to RB, allowing Matthews to go to the left.

he won international young player of the year and irish player of the year after he left us, he was praised time and time again in big games the main one that pops to mind is the milan game where he kept kaka in his place for 92 minutes before he kaka got his chance he has captained celtic in the past he has an extensive list of caps for us and his country yet people * this off as 'he isnt good enough'! Get a grip at the moment our centre backs are made up of a 19 year old with no experience all be it he looks ok so far, a player who doesnt want to be at the club and will most likely be off at the next opportunity, a bombscare, a RB and Mulgrew who has been woeful as of late.

O'Dea would be a great addition to the team

I don't think he is good enough player for us but as previously said we are not blessed with loads of talent at the back, but not for me.

Surprised to hear guys say he was a * would have thought he was alright "one of us".
Hate players who act like a *.

See if we can get him on a loan deal. Don't want any risks.

Think he's pish and wouldn't sign him but it's nice to see us looking after ex-Celts.

In all seriousness I would take him, had some great games like AC Milan away in the last 16. He was thrown in the deep end too many times for me and is a victim of the Mowbray era.

I'm sure most of us try to forget January 2010, McManus, Hartley, Robson, JVoH, Naka and Caldwell had left - O'Dea had returned from loan, was put straight into the team and made captain before Brown came back from injury.

Aye, he showed that he was capable in big games. As a low risk signing in an area we need to strengthen I'd be quite happy with that, if you look at his performance against AC Milan in the last 16 it was certainly better than Efe Ambrose's one against Juventus.

He's capable, he knows the club, he's free, he's cheap, we need cover for centre back and left back.

And he smashed a Hun :icon_mrgreen:
