Our best midfielder played at LB to suit Brown even though he’s been off the pace in big games the past two years, and even on his day, isn’t as good as McGregor or Ntcham. Being the captain shouldn’t make him undroppable.
However, the boards biscuit tin mentality towards goalkeeping has cost us in recent years.
Bain was terrible for the goal in Cluj and for their 3rd tonight. He was also beat at his post against Motherwell, as he was in Cluj. His lack of height scares me every time we concede a corner, and he couldn’t even get a game at Dundee. It hardly installs confidence across the back line.
Craig Gordon’s mistakes against Inter and Salzburg are other key examples. De Vries away to Zenit also rings a bell.
We need to spend money on a quality goalkeeper.

We won’t spend * all now, no point in even suggesting players or areas we need to strengthen cause all of the KT money will be used for our champions league embarrassment.
-
And a lb,rb,cb,lw,cm and a * striker

He didn’t play at Dundee because he fell out with their * of a manager, don’t start changing the narrative to suit your agenda just because we were * tonight.
There are enough valid reason to complain for without making up your own -
My agenda? Deary me, you’ve * the bed there. I simply want Celtic to qualify for the champions league.
Scott Bain is not good enough. Are you denying that we are penny pinching when it comes to the goalkeeping situation?Last edited: Aug 13, 2019 -
Bain was signed from Dundee at 26 years old as a back up to play the odd league game. The only reason he's playing is because he's slightly better than our other keeper that is 36 and passed it. That's our goalkeeping situation

Everyone knows the real value is to be found in the January window. Ideally we could tie up a couple bosmans, bring them in in July 2020, get them integrated into the squad in the 36 hours before next seasons CL campaign kicks off.
No need to panic buy now. -
The third goal was awful. Made a mess of the initial effort and couldn't even tip it out of the play to boot.
-
Sorry but he's a dundee level keeper, Rodgers got him playing well but he isn't anywhere near good enough. We won't bring in another keeper this window i'm afraid (infact i don't see us bringing in much now unless we sell someone again, the tierney money will be used to cover the CL loss).

We do, certainly we do, but we are never going to do it while we have Bain and Gordon still at the club. And the latter is a * who won't move on I'd imagine.

He's not better than Gordon, end of.
Gordon shouldn't have been dropped, his kicking was the problem, in terms of * stopping someone needs to find me all these mistakes he's made leading to goals.
Bain is full of too many errors now, and even his kicking has got lax. -

* me Inter was about 5 years ago, lol.
In Europe hes saved us many a time. And as I said he doesn't make many mistakes that lead to goals. He saved us from a humping at Ibrox.
For me he's the best we got at the moment. -
