imo stokes is the most talented and effective attacker at the club . can draw a foul , beat a man . his goal record in the spl speaks volumes , especially at falkirk and hibs . give this man the confidence and assurance that comes with guaranteed game time and he will outscore anyone in the spl. fact.

him and hooper should start together every time we play .

 

I agree :50: He should start at the next "big game" against Udinese at home with hooper.

 

Hear, Hear! If Stokesy starts to believe the management are 100% behind him, and the fans start chanting his name, he will score against anybody!

 

I was so excited when we signed Stokes. He's a fantastic talent, better than Hooper IMO.
Him and Mulgrew would be the first names on my team sheet.

 

He should start every game. But we've heard all this last season Lennon would rather go with his * chum Samaras.

 

I like Samaras but I'll be * glad when he goes. It seems to much of a temptation to Lennon tae play a 'big' man up top in tough games.

I reckon the reality is if Stokes and Hooper start we have a much higher chance of winning,or at the least give ourself the chances to do so.

 

lenny came out in the papers today and said he picked him simply because he could offer something to the team.....sammy did,nt have his worst game on sunday..but hardly a threat ..anyone that did,nt think to themselves we needed a change a half time must be crazy....why was he in front of stokes ....probably because ..stokes and lennon have a volitiale relationship....but more puzzling why did,nt he unwrap his new 2.2 machine...either lennys afraid of something or simply thinks stokes and banguar are,nt good enough.....

 

Stokes attitude is absolutely shocking. He's constantly moaning and throwing guys arms up complaining. If he's half the celtic fan he claims he should start showing it. Some of the selfish so shooting he tries is reminiscent of the * school playground, stop being a promising talent and start working hard, then you can complain about being dropped. Start against the huns? My only two memories of him un old firms consist of a pathetic and self indulgent lunge which shouldve been a ref card and throwing himself to the deck a la jelavic. Poor.

 

slippy are u forgetting stokes won us the peno against the huns last season that should of won us the spl but that clown sammy shat himself again,stokes attitude seems fine to me considering dat lenny drops him every time theres a big game and hes supposed to just take that and keep stum,the guy is a goal machine just needs to feel wanted by the management

 

i feel so sorry for stokesy, he has been our best striker this season i think he has every right to be raging that some clown who is hopeless gets picked ahead of him because he had 1 good game.

 

Hooper and Stokes are the deadliest combo and the most explosive striking force in the spl in the past 5 years.

They guarantee goals. Shame they don't get to play together more often.

 

Lennon is totally clueless when it comes to using Stokesy.

I agree both at using him and understanding him. What i mean is every player needs to be man managed differently including attitudes. Lennon is a firey character which can have a negative effect when dealing with individual players, who are also a bit firey and passionate.
This can cause a clash of personalitys leading to the manager falling out with their players. Thats if we are to beleive in what we here about lennon falling out with stokes and juarez etc.
