that is some of the most comical defending I have ever seen.

 

And the worst was from John Brooks, probably the best player the US has had since Donovan was in his prime and is one of the better young defenders in the Bundesliga. Klinsmann decided to play a 3-4-3/3-5-2 (he's said both in the previous days and doesn't appear to know what he actually instructed the players to do) without any prior match training or practice. He had two friendlies a month ago and didn't test it. A classic case of throwing * at the wall and seeing what sticks. Against Mexico we should have been down 3-0 after 30 minutes, but luckily Guardado was forced off and Bradley and Jones both told Klinsmann that the formation wasn't working and forced him to switch to a back four. All throughout his history players have complained that he doesn't do anything tactically. He's pointless. He does yoga and new-agey * that he's read about in books. Without Low with Germany he wouldn't have succeeded at all. It's an embarrassment that he's managed to con the USSF for so long. We've set numerous standards with him at the helm - earliest elimination from the Gold Cup in years, losing two competitive matches by four goals for the first time since the 50's, losing a WC Qualifier by four goals for the first time since the 80s, failure at the Copa, the worst results at the youth level in decades (lest we forget he is also the technical director of the US program) despite having youth players who are playing at some of the best clubs in the world, regularly losing to Mexico, the list goes on.

Was never a fan of Klinsmann. Think Team USA will be better off with anybody else.

 

It boggles the mind why people think he's a good manager. Our WC was a good story but if you look at the stats it was pretty * ugly. Tim Howard saved the US from being absolutely demolished by Belgium - think they had something like 18 shots ON TARGET that match, he actually set a WC record for most saves. At least 5 of them were legitimately world class saves as well. It was a similar story against Ghana as well.
