Did neymar "slap" brown in the face as they were tussling before
he went down, looked like a flailing arm to me,only saw it on the one replay might be wrong ,but maybe that's why brown lashed out.

He did kick his arm away ,sad but true ,Neymar the wee * also made it out like murder and tbh made a bigger * of himself by making out that it was his back that was kicked .:54:

Yawn. Brown kicked him, everything else is inconsequential.

That doesn't matter though, Brown still kicked him. Neymars reaction, although poor and possibly influential, doesn't excuse the absurd action of our captain.

No it's not. Gunning kicked Van Dijk and Van Dijk didn't react like a wee * and for that reason Gunning didn't get sent off, Brown "kicked" Neymar and Neymar went down as though he'd been shot, Brown gets sent off

Yes, unfortunately it was a straight red.

On a side note, tge referee had brought out a yellow and changed to red after being surrounded by barca players, shows what a bit of player pressure will do and barca do it well.

Brown should have known better. He gave the ref the option when he should have just taken the initial booking and got on with it.
Naymar made the most of it, it goes on far to often in the modern game. The Spanish game more than most imo.

It was really stupid and far from the first time Brown has done that.

Yellow should have been enough given it wasn't a serious attempted kick. It was just a minor childish flick that barely even touched.

You can't really blame the ref though. Red is understandable and by the letter of the law probably correct.

I * care cause Neymar cost us the game.

The point is Van Dijk reacted in the appropriate way to the kick, which barely connected with him and Neymar didn't.

Neymar is the type of player that will go down if someone even farts in his direction but Brown was foolish because he gave the ref a decision to make, had we kept 11 men on the park i believe we could've came away with at least a point.

It's football, not * table tennis. It's a contact sport. Even if it's a sending off by the letter of the law, common sense should prevail. It was a stupid kick out. Do you think that this is a rare occurrence? Players are always niggling at each other. Neymar acted like he'd just been hit by a * bullet when he'd barely been tapped, with the intention of getting Broony sent off. Van Dijk got on with it because it's a part of football & he's not a * drama queen.
