Agree with this. Got to think that ref and linesman made it up to send Brown off.

The simple matter that has to be addressed is this... Brown lost his head again in the heat of the moment, after supposedly putting all of that behaviour behind him.

You would never have seen the likes of Ledley or Mulgrew following through on Neymar like that, as they are wise enough to just take the yellow card and let play resume without further incident. Foolish behaviour, and I for one hope Lennon reviews the incident and has a word, to avoid a repeat at any point in the future.

Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't I see Busquets pleading to the referee for a red card? Another cretin of a player in world football that enjoys seeing people walk off the park when he himself is a play actor.

Busquets was also up in the ref's face giving it :blahblah1

Seems CL refs cave in if enough people put enough pressure on them.

Yes, you're entirely correct and I think it was a decisive factor in Brown getting sent off.

I think this is a point. Is there another player in a Celtic jersey tonight would have did this?

I agree with comments about diving, how do refs not clamp down in this..

And it is sickening to see the 'best players in the world' constantly play act and cheat..

And for me there was instances where a barca player rolled around the ref had ran with play but because a couple of barca players were doing starjumps the ref blew up

    Yellow.

However the ref was being a fud all night and Broony shouldn't have given him the chance.

This, pretty much. Too many people are in denial, not being honest with themselves.

    Not in my opinion.

Brown came here six years ago, with a reputation as a hothead and even a 'ned'. Although he has made undoubted progress in that department since his Hibs days, nobody can deny that he still has a tendency to lash out when things get heated. Tonight was a prime example.

It's not even up for debate. It was and is a red card offence by the book.

If Brown hadn't been sent off nobody would even have known he'd kicked him, that's what annoys me most.

I think its just sad that in today's day and age you can't make any contact with a player while down without being shown a red.

Since when did football become such a pansy game?

He made a swoosh at the air with his boot that came into light contact with Neymar and Neymar acted like he was shot with a 45. It was NEVER a red card.

The big point for me was when the referee gave Neymar a telling off for diving in the first half.

It's a yellow card offence is it not?

    Poor officiating.

At the end of the day this is part of browns game, get into players heads and * their game.
He normally does it well and should have been smarter than to kick out in front of a card happy ref.
