They aren't idiots. We have got a good chance against Ajax. We are only two games in. We have lost narrowly to AC Milan and Barcelona. We can and will score goals in this group.

I watched the Barça-Ajax game and they played much better than we did. The difference between the two teams was Messi. Also, while Barça deserved the win, 4-0 flattered them. Ajax are a better side than we are if our two games against Barça are any indication.

While we are not a one man team at this level we need our very best out there.
Brown maybe didn't cost us the game or cost us anything in the next two games, he has reduced the team by a margin we could really miss.

One of those ones it is usually a red but that arent very severe, 50% of players probably wouldnt even notice they'd been touched, others milk it like Neymar. If he never got sent off barely anyone would have called for a red card but he did.

If it was in Scotland the player would have jumped up and they would have went head to head and both would have been booked. In Europe the player will make the most of it and get the offender sent off.

Was gutted as Brooney is probably my favourite player and he's really let himself down there.

He was playing pretty well up until that point too. :54:

Had it been Xavi in the exact situation it would have been a foul nothing more. Therefore I put the blame on the cheating little rat.

On reflection yes but no way would of it been given if the incident had involved a more honest player. The official were influenced by the barca players.

Doubt it, our players are very honest and probably wouldnt even have noticed someone barely touched them theyd have assumed someone was walking past and scraped them a bit.

Like recently at Dundee Utd? one of their players actually kicked Van Dijk with about 5 times the force Brown touched Neymar and Van Dijk never even noticed it :56:

It was a red for me. Especially when you see it from the angle that the referee does. You can't kick out like that, it's just dumb.

The difference is, Xavi wouldn't have been so stupid as do that. And that is the only difference. Brown had a moment of madness, and one which he will regret. His reaction says everything you need to know, he knew it was worthy of a red.

I think he means that Xavi wouldn't have reacted the way Neymar did. We knew Neymar's reputation, though and no matter how much he milked it, it was a deserved red. The fact that Brown was by far our best player up to that point just makes it all the more gutting.

I may have picked him up wrong if that's what he means.

Brown deserved his red, and that's it for me. Too many people looking to blame others, when it's our club captain, and very experienced player that is at fault. Had it been the other way around, and it had been a Barca player kicking out like Brown did, everyone would be screaming for a red. And we would have felt aggrieved had it not been produced.

I don't know for sure, but if he meant that Xavi wouldn't have been sent off for what Brown did (and yes he would have!), I can't see how he gets from that to blaming Neymar. So I assume he meant Xavi wouldn't have reacted that way.

Brown is at fault no matter how big or small the lash out was cause it was a lash out no matter how you look at it, had it been Busquets after the way he was acting we would be calling for a red card. Blatant yellow for the foul but there was no need for brown to do that at the end of the day.

Neymar play acting was ott we all know that but ref had clear view of it and he made the right call.

Brown let the side down end of the day.
