Was it a red?

Discussion in 'Celtic Chat' started by slowburner, Oct 1, 2013.

  1. Is not seen it but as soon as I heard he was fouled in the last minute and scored the penalty I knew it was a dive,he's notorious for cheating late for pens when it's not going his way..

  2. I'd say Barcelona in particular get more decisions than any. Against other teams (whose players don't act like they've been shot when tapped/yap endlessly in the referee's ear) Brown wouldn't have been sent off last night. And like I've said already, I don't see any Barcelona player being sent off for doing what Brown did last night. Just look at the amount of times Neymar simulated injury throughout the game, how the * did he manage to stay on the pitch?

The way I see it was that it was one of those situations where Ballotelli has grabbed the players arm and pulled it into him, making it look like he's pushing him. I know the ref has only a split second but he should not be falling for it imo.

It was all Browns fault with the wee swipe at the end but I don't think it was a red. Whenever you see players acting up like Neymar last night you can be 99.9% sure that nothing has happened.

He should have been giving a yellow for the tactical foul then warned about the 'afters' (along with Neymar).

  5. Clear red and he lost us the game.

  6. Yeah the big sides are the worst for diving and getting decisions go there way..

    Prime example juve last year..

And 1 incident in that game where pirlo kicked out at brown, now it was the exact same as last night so if there gonna go by the letter of the law then that had to be a red aswell..

We will never get big decisions against powerhouses,we have to except that and be smarter from now on..

  7. I think this thread tells us one thing over anything else.

Football has become ridiculously soft. Embarrassing almost.

Dont think anyone would argue with that.

  9. Of course you can, Brown "kicked" Neymar's arm yet he was rolling around on the ground holding his back! He was deliberately feigning injury which is a yellow card offence. He could have sent of brown for kicking out and booked Neymar for simulation.

  10. Yes, but not just last night. It's been like that for years, and the fact Neymar is very well known for exaggerating a foul, Brown has to be a lot smarter than he was. He played right into Neymar's hands last night.

  11. Agreed, the ref managed to eliminate huge parts of our game last night by giving free-kicks to Barca. The amount of fouls given against Sammy when competing for headers against Pique and Bartra(who was impressive); was ridiculous for me. The whole thing with corners was also mystifying, very soft and easy way out decisions for me(although my view wasn`t great).

Again it`s inconsistency of decisions which continue to frustrate people.

  12. I've never before seen a player getting sent off for committing a foul, then the player who has been fouled, has also been booked for simulation. Never in my life have I seen that. Bottom line is, Brown shouldn't have done what he did. He made contact with Neymar by kicking out, and gave him an excuse to roll around.

    It's Brown's fault, nobody else.

He kicked him in the back. The TV clearly shows this. He got his arm as well but there is no doubt at all he kicked his back.

  14. He should have been booked for his simulation in the first half and booked for his reaction to Broony..

Letter of the law and all that it should have at least been 10v10 or 10vthere 9 with busquets off..

Bottle job would have never sent them off though..

  15. He did it for city a good few times when he came on as sub and they were drawing/losing..

Another total * of a man

You can see it in the last 30 seconds of this video. The replay shows it quite well.

  17. If anything it's a free kick the other way..

    Blatant cheat the guy..

Ajax looked fairly good in that video

Red card. Gave the referee a decision to make. Poor temperament and a petulant kick. Classic Scott Brown. Liability.

The most annoying thing is that with his theatrics, Milan have blagged their way to 4 points.

  19. Red. No matter how much contact there is or how much force behind it, you can't kick out at a player like that. But if he was going to do it, he should have kicked harder and hurt the diving wee *.
