Was Henrik World class ???

Inzaghi doesn't get as much praise as some and technically he's not the best. But his goal scoring record is better than anyone and his movement is great. Difference is Larsson created goals as well and was a harder worker.

Dont think there is any need for a poll tbh mate, I knew when starting this thread id be buried mate, I just wanted to debate, put some points accross and let people hit back...

 

Haha, that's some attitude when starting thread.

These types of threads should have a poll, in my opinion. Putting across opinions and debating is good, but polls pretty much sum up whole thread.

On the other hand, if you started thread with poll, 90% of posts would be "yes", "of course lol", "aye, ya hun" or "this poll sucks".

Gotta hand it to you, it's a brave topic to discuss.

I must admit, still not changed my mind in any way, and i think a lot of people are adding points to make it look as if henky was world class.

as I said, thought he was a fantastic player, but played in the scottish league for 7 years, and thats what maybe effected him

If he was playing with any top team and league in the world it would be without question. People only seem to question this because he played with celtic in the SPL at his peak.

So for us Celtic fans who actually witnessed him week in week , this issue should not even be raised.

 

True enough, however every great debate needs a dissenting opinion. It is one of the cornerstones of the freedoms that we enjoy - that of free speech and free expression.

The choice of a Celtic forum was only ever going to get one response from the Celtic faithful, myself included; that he was a truel world class player. What might have proven a fairer battleground for you might have been asking your question on a neutral footballing forum, or, better yet, a Barcelona forum (if you speak spanish, that is), to gauge reaction there. I dare say you might have the odd poster who will agree with your stance, but even then, a fair number of them would acclaim him as we have overwhelmingly here.

After all, with all the 'world class' players that have worn the famous Barca shirt, who would be in a better position than our Catalan cousins.

Is henrik still the top european goalscorer for a british team? and yes the man, the legend was imo the greatest player to play for the tic in my 33 years on this earth, i cannot see any reason to differ!!!!

Anyway viper I think you should consider the possibility that every other celtic man u and barcelona fan not to mention all 9,340,682 swedes might have got this one right.

 

He is Def world class, just look at his performances and statistics not only in his club career but in his international career he helped caft the swedish team into a force to be reckoned with. I don't know if anyone here reads the Magazine World Soccer, but recently they listed their top 40 players of the last 10 years and Henrik was at No.38 I think, the point being that he has been recognized worldwide as a great striker and a great footballer, and so being would be defined as a world class footballer.

i watched the champions league final in santa ponsa when henrik came on and made the difference.there were barca fans at the next table an they were acclaiming him as "the best"great night!
