If he wants to go let him go. We will be making a huge profit even if he goes for £4million. The worst case scenario is we have a player who'd rather be somewhere else. If Wanyama wants to stay then great, if not I'd get rid as soon as possible. No one is bigger than the club and I'm sure we'll survive.

That was fed to him by Lawell after the success of the 'Hooper 88' shirt. Tell me you didn't think he was being genuine?

    Who will Vic listen to?

His father that is adamant he should stay here?

    or

A money grabber that thinks he should move to the EPL?

Vic is a smart guy and will know which of the two have his best interests at heart. He is a humble guy and wouldnt push threw a move so if he does leave it will be on our terms.

We ARE a stepping stone fs some people need to get their head out the clouds and accept the fact that we are still a big club but sadly even the likes of Everton or Fulham are far far more attractive than us nowadays.

If an offer came in and he feels we should listen then fine. But only if it is a top offer from top side. Why the * would he want to go to Stoke when in a year he could be playing for a top 6 side, imo anyway. He has that much potential I wouldn't be surprised to see him for Man U one day

We can be so naive when it comes to players at times. Kiss the badge, mention the fans and history and we all cream our pants.

He will be looking at his career further down the line, he wont be here forever. His agent will be looking to get him a better deal. Its why players have agents. He will be looking for more money and in England, EVERY club is capable of paying more money.

And for those that suggest he should stay and develop? Fine, he will be thinking different. Vic will be saying to himself "what if I stay another season and break my leg?" Career over, money gone.

Aternatively we hold onto him for another couple of years and he refuses to sign another deal and we lose him for nothing or peanuts. A la Ki (possibly).

Given the austere times we are in, there is nothing wrong with looking at things in a business manner.

We also have a great youth system and this would not only free up a large amount of money to invest, but may allow a youngster to break into the first squad.

I just want him here for another year at the very least, he could be a massive player for us in the qualifiers and the group stages if we are lucky enough to make it there.

Wanyama sitting in front of the defence, with Kayal and Ledders in front of him makes for a midfield that will give most teams a battle. Wanyama screens the defence brilliantly.

If he plays well in Europe, we're talking more money for both us and Vic.

He'll be here next year unless a crazy offer comes in. No point in talking about it any different; that's the facts of the matter.

Can't see him leaving this season when he's been playing such a big part and is pretty much guaranteed to get European football next season.
Sure, he could go to Stoke or the likes now but unless he has an absolutely dire season, that offer will still be there next season/this winter. If he makes a big show in Europe he'll probably be getting offers from much bigger clubs.
