Red card no doubt about it, 2 footed tackle straight red, disgraceful decisin from wanyama and him and murray cost us the game, embarrasing

I didn't think Wanyama had a particularly bad game today, barring the send off. He didn't have a particularly good one either. The red card is a tricky one. When the tackle was made, I shouted 'great tackle', but as soon as the ref blew the whistle I knew what colour of card he was gonna produce. I don't agree with the rule, but it is the rule.

Wanyama is a fantastic player, and he may not be as outstanding as earlier in the season, but I still think he's been solid, and has plenty more to come.

How many years ago was that ffs , Players are not * stupid they know the refs have warned them since the start of the season two footed = Red Card.

But they still * do it and each time a player does it they run the risk under the new rules of being sent off .

It was * stupid and Vic should be fined.

Hes been underperforming for months now to be brutally honest, hes not playing anywhere the level he was in the 1st half of the season. Gets caught on the ball far to often and his passing has been poor too.

Not being funny mate and I know he got the ball but if you don't think Vic touched Whitakker then you need glasses, he went right through him and the ref had no choice.
Whether or not refs give yellows or reds for that type of tackle is irrelevant, we all know refs have no consistency but that, by the laws of the game, is a red card sadly.

Would of probabaly had been better had big victor wanyama been at centre back today, rangers wouldnt have got so much joy out of mculloch. Lennon should have spotted this early. Mcelbows was bullying our two centre halfs.

    I'm not picky.
    Was never a red card!

IF it was deserving of a card it was yellow at most.

Wasn't a dangerous tackle and the studs weren't high.. Was timed well and won the ball as clean as you like from the front and his feet hardly even left the ground. They slid along the ground but if that is a sending off tackle then there should be more red cards in every game played so why isn't there? Because it wasn't a red, that's why.

Bit harsh IMO. He hasn't been that great recently but he was ok today, and it was never a red card. It wasn't violent, it wasn't dangerous. Yes it was 2 footed, but he didn't catch the player, he got the whole ball. Didn't even have his studs up.

The problem with wanyama is his passing.Hes solid in most challages(today excepted),Good in the air, can sheild the ball well, but his passing is well below par.he has to work hard on this and could be an outstanding player.I know hes still a young lad but passing is a prority espeicaly in his posision.

Red card? Probably. He went in two footed, but it wasn't really dangerous, but it doesn't really matter if the player is hurt or not, it's the act itself is considered the main problem. I think we should consider sending him out on loan next season, he could do with some time at a smaller club because he simply isn't ready for the big matches at this point.

I just hope that Lenny doesn't give him a bashing for that tackle as there was nothing that wrong with it. Should maybe just advise him that with tackles like that * like Whittaker will crumble and ref's will act even when they are fair tackles.

It's tackles like that - and Cha's incident - that prove football is becoming a non-contact sport. Even when there ISN'T any contact by the players.

Strength and power, if we aren't starting him in midfield for the moment we should play him at cb because kelvin wilson is a bombscare.
