Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that there's anything wrong with voting SNP, but I'd just rather that people were voting for a party because of their policies rather than simply because they want another party to fail.

I think a lot of people are waking up to what the SNP are about due to the independence issue,I know what you are saying Labour could have put a brush out for most general elections up here and still won due to ignorance of ive always voted labour or hatred of the Tories, but I do feel that is changing and for the good a lot of the youth are starting to get involved in politics which can only be for the better

Its impossible to argue against that , given the SNP have already said they would not form a coalition with the tories but would with liebour.
While it was pretty obvious that is what they would do, to have said it officially is stupid imo, as it weakens the hand of the SNP should there be a hung parliament. Liebour now know they can offer less to get the SNP on board to support a coalition :31:
Sadly the SNP have had to say this, so that those Scots with the massive chip on their shoulders might still vote SNP as opposed to doing what "my family have done for generations" and voted labour :52:
Wee lamont got hammered by everyone , myself included, for her "not genetically capable" statement, the more I think about it the more I realise she actually had a point when it comes to labour voters anyway.

I don't know if I'll be able to bring myself to vote for the SNP.

Their ridiculous offensive behaviour fiasco leaves a sour taste,as does the contempt shown to our fans who raise the issue with the party.

I see signs with the SNP i'm not liking.... namely the money devolved to Scotland for roads etc.

We chose to build a * bridge over the forth, There's biggers problems than that. A9 should be the priority.

Also the criminalisation of football fans doesn't sit well with any of us either.

Though I'd vote them before the Tories and Labour.

    But it's Greens for me.

Voted Green since 2005, but don't know what way I will go this time, probably back to Labour given how this has GE has been hijacked by some nationalists as Referendum Part Deux.

Snp all day long, voting labour or tory is just maintaining the current system so many claim to hate but refuse to do anything about it by voting for the same party or parties that have ruled for the last 300 years.

Anyone thinking labour or tory are going to make any changes that affect the people in anything other than a token offering has rocks in their heads.
Snp may not be the greatest show in town but they are the only party offering true hope that can maybe deliver whatk we all want....a gateway to true changes that can improve peoples lifes for the better and not this...oh you will be £10 a year better off * we have to live with just now.

    would turkeys vote for xmas......naw.
will labour or tory vote for true change.....naw x 2

Voting SNP will see us maintain the current system as well though, won't it? The colour of the rosette on the suit-wearing politician may change, but the game is the same, right?

The bridge has to be built because the current one needs 10 years of repair and has to be parlty closed to work on it.

A9 is being done, plans are in plans and about to start working on it all the way to Inverness in timed stages.

Greens in a ideal world for me aswell but they will get us nowhere

Do you actually support Celtic or did you merely join this forum to give a forum who majoritarily supported independence, a lesson on the union?

It is all you go on about. Are you a British nationalist.

*, I misunderstood you. I thought you were saying you'd be voting for a socialist Labour Party i.e. you'd be time travelling. :smiley-laughing002:

SNP are our biggest chance atm, only because they put the referendum in place. The people who don't really know much about politics are just going to vote SNP. A lot probably dont even know the Green party.

The green party in England's support is growing considerably, so if Scotland voted Green's it'd be more of a UK wide vote, rather than just a Scottish vote with the SNP, which would have a bigger impact on government policy than the SNP.

That, and the Greens are all round a more left party. But I very much doubt they'll be voted in.

If i could i'd urge everyone who's voting SNP to vote Greens. But I understand why they're voting for the SNP. I'm almost tempted to vote SNP due to the fact i don't think the greens will get the numbers needed, and they'd steer us in the right direction for the moment.
