Vasilis Barkas

I honestly thought he looked worse than bain. Maybe I'm wrong and been a bit judgemental from last year but he's just not for me. I do hope I'm wrong btw!

 

He doesn't make big saves, every time the opposition shoot I fear a goal when he's in-between the sticks, he's decent at claiming crosses but it's not enough, need far better.

 

It's going from bad to worse. I can see us starting with Barkas, Ralston and Taylor in our qualifier ably assisted by Kennedy and Strachan on the side-lines. Just fecking wonderful.

Surely has something about him if he's an international goal keeper. Just an utter * year. New team, no pals, nerves and stuck in your flat by yourself from 3pm daily to over think every mistake, no allowed out to escape for a bit, worry more and continuely be dropped for.. bain.. I'm fully willing to give him another chance. Weird as * circumstances this season.

 

To be fair Bain made a well class save the other day against Charlton...still not seen Bark make a decent one yet tbh.

 

Bain also had a shocker for the Charlton goal. Swings and roundabouts.

I’d rather we went into the market for another goalkeeper.

 

Willing to give Barkas another chance. Imagine pitching up to the * show that was last season with Shane Duffy being your last line of defence .

New country and culture etc... lockdown in full swing so can't go home to see family and friends stuck in a hotel or new house instead of out at pub or restaurant with your team mates bonding. Make a couple of mistakes and what else do you have to do with your time but think about it and make it a million times worse

 

Completely understand people wanting another GK, and I think we need a much better backup keeper than Bain, but I think Barkas deserves a chance.

Sort out the defence and I think he'd be a lot better.

 

I think he looks to have settled a bit more having seen him in the pre-seasons.

I was all for getting rid of him given his lack of performances last season, but maybe he is worth another shot if there isn't an obvious transfer target.

I do think he is a better long time proposition for being first choice than Bain.

I certainly don't but him in the same bracket as N'tcham, Bolli and Shved.

 

I do believe he does possess quality and should be given a chance but I don't think the fans will have much patience he has had a season to settle, time to put up Vasilis

 

if barkas is gonna be our no 1 this year we will win * all.* ridiculous to even consider giving him another chance

 

It's like nobody actually watched us last year!

 

He made a decent one handed save against Charlton. Not that it changes much, I think we still need another goalkeeper and was very surprised we didn’t offer Marciano a deal for * all.

 

The highlights of him last season was just him picking the ball out of his net.

 

Marciano’s another Bain, except Bain’s better. Can make decent saves but all round not good enough.
