i thought the celtics policy was to breed the youth and save money,,under19s ..the guys there are not boys anymore there young men with one eye on the first team,

would be very sad if that was true. for example, under 19 basel just beat u19 manchester united 5-1, gc zurich beat real madrid 2-0 and there won't be a u19 celtic team anymore?

i thought lennoxtown was built partly to give the boys the best start in there carear,,and to attract top players and improve the current lot

I thought they had reversed that decision and there was going to be a reserve league next season?

Thought I had read it somewhere after the reserves got their eighth title that next year they would be trying to make it nine, although can't seem to find that comment now.

Why have they scrapped the full squad of 19s? Santonicotto, tidser and towell looked like great prospects, but I seen santonicotto was in the reserve squad on tuesday so I think he will still be here.

people read to much into this the u 17s must have some good prospects and they will be moving them up to 19s remember you cant move a whole team up there will always be better players at other age groups who will take there place

Celtic's youth cull was brutal. Anyone unlucky enough to be born in 1990 was binned.

I don't know whose decision it was to release us all but it was what they decided to do.

It won't leave us too short because we never have a huge squad. So they should be okay for next year.

So was it the entire under 19 squad or only those born in 1990 and therefore approaching the age limit for playing with the youths as the article seems to contradict itself by saying the entire squad and then if you were unlucky enough to be born in 1990.

Also they state "they should be OK for next year" which suggest there is still going to be an under 19 squad next season.
