I'm obviously bias but I thought that atmosphere was absolutely terrible. I was at United v Real Madrid which was so much better than that

Vincent Kompany: "Barcelona weren't superior to us"

Roy Keane: "He's obviously tired. I'm not sure he knows what he's talking about."

    Well said Roy.

I'd love to see Keane as Celtic manager some day.

That was another pathetic home performance in the Champions League by Man City. We put up as good a fight when we played Barcelona at Parkhead as City did tonight. Yet look how much more money has been spent on that City team compared to our team.

Considering the money they've spent over the last few seasons, City are nothing special. They're nowhere near winning the Champions League.

Barcelona will be delighted with that result away from home. I thought they controlled the game well without having to be at their best.

Surprised the TV channels even bother to hype up Man City against European teams, they are a poor side for the money they have spent, when you look at their team Id say only Kompany and Silva could have a claim to being the best in the world in their position

I didn't think Barca were that great tbh. They controlled possession all match but until the sending off they didn't have any big chances, whilst City on their rare attacks troubled them a bit. Even with 10 men they didn't do too badly. I don't think it's completely over just yet. Anyway I think Bayern are on a totally different level to both teams.

and no I don't like City lol.

Dont think Silva is that good.

Messi, Ronaldo, Mata, Ozil, Iniesta, Fabregas, Reus, Ribery, Robben, Hazard, Neymar, Pedro, Gotze and Muller I think are all better attacking mids/wide players than him.

Silva for me doesnt put in enough of a defensive shift in bigger games and doesnt score enough goals for someone who doesnt get involved in defending. Mata is similar but Mata scores probably double what he does and assists the same or more.

Silva at the top of his game is right up there but on the whole I wouldn't have him as one of the very best

Silva on his night is one of the best in the world. His nights don't come around often enough though.

Yea have defo heard better Utd atmospheres in Europe than that, which is obviously saying something.

To be fair, I think it's worth pointing out that the atmosphere in the 2nd leg is gonna be exactly the same, if not worse, it's just nobody is gonna mention that.

Barca's atmospheres are always terrible tbh.

Spaniards pay to be entertained, in their eyes they shouldn't have to provide an 'atmosphere', its not really part of their culture.

Although to be fair, they were singing and cheering tonight, certainly louder than the Mancs.

Id rate him above Pastore, Eriksen, Coutinho, Kagawa, Mkhitaryan but below Ozil, Mata, Iniesta and Gotze. Alongside Isco and Hamsik probably as playmakers.

David Silva dictates the play and sets the attacking tempo superbly. He was probably the best player on the park tonight, bar Alves.

City were favourites with the bookies.

    Barca were 7/5 outsides.

Dad stuck a good few bob on them. Nearly wet himself when he saw the odds. :smiley-laughing002:
