Would have Forrest in ma team way before McCourt.

Thought the wee man was excellent today. He's got a low centre of gravity and the way he held of the Aberdeen defence a few times was excellent. Think he'll be a star for Celtic and Scotland. Better than Aiden coz he can cross and shOOt.

Still a lot of work to do

He looked good last season when he first came into the team and he has some good games here and there. The majority of the games for me though he is poor. If he wasnt a young lad that came through the ranks he wouldnt get a game.

I cant believe that he is getting a game ahead of Paddy McCourt. To me it seems criminal!!!

i agree with you assesment of commons today, total pish. infact i think he looks fat and uneasy with himself.

however commons goal recored last season and his cotribution was excellent. so commons for me.

i think sometimes forrest gets a little bit too much praise, as when he comes on he creates width. which is often what we need. and it improves our game greatly. however i often feel any natural winger would do that for us. having said that i am sure the bhoy has a great future and hes been great so far in his celtic carear. but still young:50:

There is no way on earth celtic are paying a young mostly used as a sub player 18k per week.:87::87::87:
And the only people that know what he is on is the player his agent and the celtic board....so dont bother with any of that...good source crap....:icon_mrgreen:

Commons is on a bulk at the moment, or at least was during the break, you can't build muscle without gaining some fat along the way. Give it another few weeks and he'll be leaner, stronger and more dangerous.

I hope Forrest gets a good wee run in the team this year, he's really looking promising, if he keeps going as he is now i can see him nicking Brown or Commons place in the team. I felt a wee bit sorry for him last season everytime he got a run of a couple of games and started looking really good he got an injury. Lets hope he can stay injury free as hes got a good delivery and is a real goal threat.

    Wrong.
You get bigger muscles by over-using them, and as they heal and repair themselves they grow more tissue. Why you feel sore in the morning after a game of 5-a-side or doing some heavy lifting when your not used to it. That pain is literally small tears in the muscles - when they repair themselves they grow back even more tissue in those tiny little tears, which is why muscle mass increases.

It is scientifically proven that muscles do not feed off body fat. They have no relation to each other.
Exercising will burn off fat, but it does not turn to muscle. This is a myth due to the fact that exercise will burn calories (therefor fat) and that same exercise will create muscle at the same time.

Calm down with the broscience bro. :celt_2:

Do you even know what a bulk is? In order to build muscle you have to be in a caloric surplus which means that Commons was probably eating a very clean high protein diet in excess of 3000 calories per day over the summer, whilst trying to add mass to his upper body.

I don't care how much of an athlete you are you cannot build muscle without adding fat at the same time, even on the cleanest of bulks.

Anyways, Enough of the digressions, Commons will be back bigger leaner and stronger within a few weeks and once he peels off that little extra bodyfat he gained during the bulk we'll see if his upperbody work has paid off.
