It should be done with as little pomp as possible. Trophy presentation, minus the fireworks and pyrotechnics, then a lap of honour from the squad, minus all the wives, girlfriends and children etc. Keep it, not low key, just no frills, pretty much like the season as a whole

If you want to talk about embarrassing look at the *
    over the city.

A league win taking us to to a run of 5 in a row is something some of our supporters haven't seen before, take everything you can because you can only beat what's in front of you.

Some people are just spoiled *.

So don't let them celebrate with their families? :smiley-laughing002: fs, might as well just cancel it.

Play like that when the huns are back and there will be no title being won,and thats the point we will win this league because theres no team good enough to punish us when we have a * season, and theres no point in glossing it up by pretending evverything is rosy because we have won the league. We have been a disgrace this year and every player should be made aware of how we feel in the strongest possible way.

What's funny about that? They can celebrate with their families all they want afterwards. This is a relatively new thing bringing them on to the pitch and last year turned into a bit a rigmarole with the players all just milling around after the presentation before haphazardly setting off around the pitching dribs and drabs. Sure, if it had been a great season then they can milk it for all its worth and do what the * they like. However it's not, so I think the players and management should acknowledge this by simply showing their appreciation for the support and, for once, not making it all about themselves.
Not condoning any walkouts, protests or huffs , celebrate it aye, just make it more for the support.

Well said. Some of the posts in this thread are depressing.

The last few have been pretty stale anyway, best one I've been at was Lennon's first season and we hadn't even won:56:

Agreed. The cynicism and negativity some folk have about winning a CHAMPIONSHIP is unbelievable.

Excuse me for feeling slightly down about the season we've just had :smiley-laughing002:

It's not cynicism I'm feeling, it's not like I'll be standing there with my arms folded just to make a point, I simply don't take much joy from this season at all. It's been a mess on every front really. You'll have to excuse me for being not blown away by our capacity to stumble over the finishing line in a competition we were what, 1/50 to win?

No issue with anyone celebrating as much as they want, more power to them. At the same time, people are going to need to accept the fact that a decent chunk of the support will just see the celebrations a papering over the cracks, so to speak.

Happy clappy nonsense like this epitomises the lack of backbone in our support as a collective, in spite of what we say as individuals, and enables Lawwell to take the * season after season after season.

I don't condone a walk-out but personally I'll stay for the trophy getting lifted, give the few players that have put in an effort this season a clap and leave it at that.

Treat the supporters with contempt to think you're above giving your all and it will be returned.

You want to celebrate this like any other league title? It's the biggest anti climax in my life and questions need asked from top to bottom. In case you've forgot, we pay these imposters wages with our wages.

I'm actually laughing at being called a spoiled *. I support this club through thick and thin. The only spoiled * here are the players who've sold he jerseys right in front of our eyes this season. And in my opinion they should know as such.

Not to mention agents, it was a mess. They could've done the lap of honour even with their families and then took all the pictures afterwards, it's not like anyone would've taken the trophy away if they didn't get a pic straight away.

Call me old fashioned but what's wrong with doing the lap of honour and celebrating with the crowd like they always used to, mind you some seem so aloof it's no wonder they behave like they do

I think if anything when Ronny is crying whilst walking around the park saying goodbye, we might actually feel sorry for the poor guy who was owned by the boardroom. Anyone saying he is a yes man can ram it, he walked, he said "They are not playing for me, they are poor" and he is 100% correct. These players play for the fans and we fans pay their wages, the players stopped and I blame John Collins for being a gossiping *.

:shamrock: Lets give Ronny a good send off :shamrock:
....And in a few years HE WILL come back to haunt us same as his 1st ever signing, Jo, who put us out of CL this season. I can see the whole thing scripted to go that way.

It's a big bag of * to be fair :54:
