Got to work last Monday, and the forklift which every night is left across the bunded fuel tank, is now kept over the fresh pallet of cement on site instead.......Maybe only builders on here will appreciate this, but the worlds gone mad lol.

I know what you mean my daughyer in law comes over every sunday, drinks 2 bottles of prosecco which i have to buy. Sometimes stays for dinner whi h i have to pay for and doesnt even bring a packet of biscuits with her. Saying thay i love the wee * to bits and shes the daughter ill never have...

When they all appear its usually for an overnight, just like last week fathers day. Cost me best part of £100 to feed and water them.

Sometimes I think......why won't you just leave me alone to have a beer and potter around the garden on my own ..

When you sit down for a morning jobbie and somebody’s just vacated and left a nice warm cosy seat.

If I remember correctly from reading Roald Dahl's 'Boy' book, they called that "*". (The first years had to sit on the toilets for the older students in the boarding school to warm the seats up!)

No read that book in years. Brilliant autobiography. Don’t remember that reference though. Any indication as to why it was called that?

No idea of the origin of the term. It was basically a servant system in public schools, young boys did chores and menial tasks for the older boys. Sometimes resulted in physical or sexual abuse. It was phased out in the 80's...so the current Tory government could have been the first generation possibly to be "*" but not to get their own "*"...which is why they are taking out their resentment on the public...just a theory :D

Yeah, class book, good memories of reading it when I was younger. "Going Solo" is another good one of his, more about his * life.

What els said, site bogs are usually akin to Glastonbury on day 4, every * day. I m usually first in so I don’t have to follow the sweaty ring left by the 25 stone digger driver.
