    We buy spinach with every shop. We eat it, we give some to the parakeets daily, give the dog a few leaves to eat, yet somehow we always end up with about half a bag of wilted spinach.

    Every bank doing patronising tv adverts featuring their equally patronising employees telling us from their homes how they all care and are there to look after us... not to make interest from either lending you money or having your money in their hands. Every one of them ends with some manky cat or dog entering the picture to cue up an ‘aaahhhh’ moment when in fact it just brings on the bokes.

    Managers who say "no pressure" or "no rush" before asking you to do something, often following up with "but this is really important". When they say no pressure it puts pressure basically saying if you're a team player you'll do it anyway on top of your current work load.
