Trivial Things That Annoy You Thread

Are you not meant to fill the kettle with fresh water for a better cup of tea. Think I read that somewhere.

 

Looking forward to a few beers, pizza, chicken wings and watching the golf as my two bets were in with a shout at a place at least. Between the two of them in the first four holes they have a double bogey each and a couple of bogeys.

and continually boiling water also takes out the dissolved oxygen which can make tea taste differently. always use a fresh boil for teas.

 

Aye, after the first boil the water loses most of the nutrients etc. I never reboil the kettle, boggin.

I always put water in just before making tea for that reason.

 

Gives me the fear seeing someone reboil kettle water. It changes it on a molecular level, doesn’t feel or taste right.

 

Ma mrs is like that with tap water. Just won’t drink it. Only bottled. She says she can “taste” the difference.
A load of BS imo. Just get the tap water drunk and stop pretending to be a posh *

There's a difference. Some bottled water is rank, especially Evian.

 

And Carlsberg.

 

Boiling water does not change it on a molecular level. Absolutely not: it is H2O before, during and after boiling. Nor does freezing cause a molecular change.

I bought a bottle of water in a corner shop last week and couldn’t drink it. It seemed to be Turkish but all I could taste was plastic.

I normally go for Evian or Volvic.

 

Find Evian to have a chalky taste. Tesco own brand water is nice. Perthshire I think it's called.

 

There was a programme on TV this morning and they cut live to the tory gathering waiting for the result of the vote,the whole shower of * were listening to recorded speeches by Churchill and Thatcher.
