   Madrid offered 20m for him in January and Liverpool knocked them back hoping to convince him to stay. That's on the club rather than the player.
   
   Football fans in general are just dumb when it comes to this stuff. When players are bad they want rid ASAP. When players are great they demand absolute loyalty.
