Jota will be a different animal this season.

Must’ve been hard for him at points last season, given his future was uncertain - a poor previous season in Spain, Benfica didn’t want him, and there was no guarantee we could justify the fee.

Now he’s settled I reckon the consistency will come. I wouldn’t say his signing is ‘standing still’.

Funny how easily the early work in the window is forgotten.

The board always get it tight for not working early. This time they secure two MASSIVE signings in Jota and CCV early doors. We upgrade on Bitton with Mooy. We sign another LB for decent money.

Still * winging. If this all happened late august yous would be frothing at the mouth.

Still need at least two more good players (i.e. not the likes of siegrist & mooy) if we want to play to our potential and don't want to get cuffed in Europe - hoping for a couple of ccv/jota style loans by the end of the window.

We are going to get gubbed in Europe regardless of signings due to the way Ange sets us up

The ONLY reason this is happening 'early' is because we have already got CL football/money. The only difference between this summer and every other for the last 20 odd years is the guarentee of CL group stages.
Mooy isn't the same type of player as Bitton so we still really need someone in that position.

Let's wait and see, shall we? Europa last season we gave a decent show of ourselves in the end at a time when we were struggling for form. We have a settled squad and no doubt a fitter squad too after the mess NL left.

Record Sport understands Postecoglou is still in the market for another frontman to further bolster the attacking options. Ferencvaros striker Ryan Mmaee is one that has been looked at. But any room for Ajeti is looking less likely, with the Swiss striker among a group of players Celtic are willing to let go. Keeper Vasilis Barkas has already departed on a season loan to Utrecht, with a view to a permanent deal, while Mikey Johnston could also be allowed to head out on a temporary switch.

Just shows how things can change quickly with depth of squad and if carter Vickers or Welsh gets a injury on Sunday we are looking at Julien to come on .
Still think we need a quality defensive midfielder to give McGregor a break and another right winger if abada gets injured as Forrest maybe ok for domestic games but not up to it now for European games .

Still should be remembered this is a vast improvement on this time last year.

    Everything is relative.

Hugely but think we are in a good position to dominate Scottish football for years to come if we just bring in another couple of quality players.

Ange will bring in quality every year and (hopefully) sack the deadwood.

Can't see us losing the league while Ange stays.

Still in need of 3 players.

Jullien needs to go and another CB brought in. I'd loan Welsh out (wont happen though).

With it looking like Mikey could be for the off on loan, getting rid of Welsh would (I believe) leave us needing to leave some senior squad players out of Champions League squad to meet the home-grown/association-trained player quotas.

Would really love a statement signing. Someone that really excites fans. Mmaee wouldnt be a statement signing but think it would get fans on side and he does seem a good player.

Would love another couple this window. A winger/striker like Larsson or Mmaee.

A defensive minded midfielder. Doesn't have to be someone physical like Souza. Would love someone like Sammassekou, although I think he would be well out of budget.

Then I want to see players out the door. Mikey, Ajeti, Julien and Shaw being the main ones. No idea why Broony hasn't tried to take Shaw/Robertson off our hands. Bound to be able to get a game for * fleetwood.

I'd take a "has been" DMF with European experience to help us in CL games and mentor Lawal.

    Just can't get enough
I'm happy so far. We haven't strengthened the first team, but crucially haven't weakened it.
I would have liked to have seen some better options come in, but they may come later possibly as loans.
I think Siegrist is a better option in goal if we lose hart, and Jenz might prove a good option at CB.
But I don't think another striker is a priority.
We have two very good strikers and plenty of goals in Jota Abada Maeda etc. We also have young Johny Kenny.
I think the main thing we need is a Scott Brown/Wanyama type player. Although who we'd drop to play him is a puzzle.
