    Indeed.
Remember when we beat Helsingborgs 2-0 away, magic, that was when we should have brought players in, remember when we beat Helsingborgs 2-0 at home, magic, we all felt good. Remember when we had the Champ Lge Draw, all good feelings and we needed to get a couple of quality players through the door, it did not hapen and we are still waiting for these new signings.

But the good thing is we play against rubbish sides in scotland so should we really buy good players for about 6 champ league games per season? Or should we just sit back like the rest of scottish football and watch the rest of Europe pass us by.

I thought it was a good window for us we added a quality striker got a dominant centre half and we kept all our stars so what's not to like about this window

not over the moon apart from miku, i think it was pretty stupid leaving everything to the very last minute as we always seem to do. i thought maybe we would have brought Boly in but i have faith in the scouting department and hopefully Ambrose will be the big strong no nonsense brick wall of a center back we've been craving for, time will tell. i still feel we've been given the short end of the stick by the board considering after selling ki for £6 million and a windfall from the champions league

We got players for the positions that needed strengthened. I would have liked to see us get an experienced, quality CB but since I've not seen Efe play - there's no reason he can't be the answer. Neil Lennon talks highly of him, so hopefully he's another quality bargain.

I have to say, if Efe is not the answer at CB then i'll be extremely * off. Efe is a huge gamble, where as an experienced, quality CB that would have probably cost us a fair whack - would have been a lesser gamble. We have to trust our scouting system though.

As for the striking options, I'm feeling quite optimistic. The general feeling is that Miku has all the tools to cut it here, he will bring things to the table that our other strikers are lacking.

There's still the chance we're adding another free as well.

Overall, I'm happy with the areas strengthened but crucially, I await to see if we have finally strengthened in the CB position - which has been a problem for far too long.

The board are doing the right thing, even if it is frustrating for us, the supporters, at times.

Just think of it like this; after years of overspending, the Huns were flushed down the toilet and ceased to exist in June of this year. They had to totally reform as a new club and start from the beginning again, because they were too careless with their money and bought success, instead of doing it the hard and fair way.

There are many clubs all over the world, but especially down in England, that will be going the same way very shortly. You see what's happening with Portsmouth now aswell. My grandfather has been saying so for months and I agree with him. There is no way the smaller clubs down south can sustain the ridiculous spending that they have been carrying out for the last few years, ever since the Arabs and Russians arrived on the scene.

At least when they go to the wall, as they will inevitably do some time in the next few years, we will still have a club to support and not some tribute club (see The The Rangers FC) impersonating the mighty, glorious Glasgow Celtic. We should be grateful that we have people running our club that actually care about our future.

Pleased with every aspect of our business in this window. If I compare to how I felt at the end of last summer I am over the moon. Proffessional conduct from the board. Thumbs up. :50:

Who did we actually sign last summer? Wanyama and Wilson, whilst loaning Forster out for another year? Huge improvement this time around :50:

Disappointed really, left things very last minute and Ki is gone which i am not entirely happy about. We have received in the region of 5-6Million for Ki and i would have liked to see all of that money given to lenny to reinvest in the squad. Keep the CL windfall to address debt and save for later but any money from players sold should be put straight into the kitty.

The players that have come in i will wait before i judge them, i know Miku from having watched a lot of La Liga so he could be a very good player for us.

Apart from that same old same old really for Celtic, not overly disappointing but not overly exciting either.

Have to say I think it has been a decent/good transfer window.

Have strengthened in the positions required and not lost any actual valuable players.

Would have possibly liked to have seen a marquee signing, but I now come to accept that is not how we are going to be doing business in the near future.

it was a decent window, sod that it was an excellent window.

Firstly we got in players in positions we needed strengthening namely CB and up front, not to mention 2 keepers.

Secondly, in bringing in these needed positions we added quality. Lenny was a massive fan of Efe, and by all accounts he is a promising player. Lenny seemed similarly happy with Miku and E-I-E-I-O, if he actually signs. Both have experience at a good level, and both bring differing skill sets that are much coveted by NL. Miku is touted as brining some real quality, and dare I say it, class, whereas this other lad seems to be the more aerial target man we've all been after. Forster's obviously first choice and improving so aye, overall the standard of the squad, and more importantly the first team, has been improved.

Thirdly, we've managed to do all this with a net spend of somewhere like minus 2m (6m for Ki, minus 2m for Forster, 1m for Efe, plus whatever the loans fees have cost). Add to that the positives of champs league money, increased advertising, shirts sales and all the other benefits of a team with high level european exposure and financially we are looking great.

However, the thing i think we're forgetting is that this good season follows on the back of three or four fairly poor seasons, financially speaking. We haven't been scraping the barrel, but we have missed CL money. This money we have earned and will earn will help ease the strain we've been under for a while now, hence why we're not splashing it. Now considering what we need from this season, which i'd say is a first team capable of winning the hard games in the SPL and secure the championship, whilst developing against the euro elite, backed by a wider squad capable of doing a number in the domestic cups and supporting the SPL charge, I'd say we've assembled a team capable of doing this, all technically at a profit!

What i'm pleased with is we've been frugal, but have still gone out and got what we NEED. Very sensible, but still exciting. I enjoy watching us play and love what Lenny and co are doing. I also like that we're applying long-term logic to this. Long may it continue. I'm hoping in 3/4 years from now with sustained CL football and a developed young squad, we could be on to something special.

I would agree with this. Miku was valued last season at £6m (way beyond our price range) by Getafe and we essentially got him for nothing (for a season at least). He was their top goalscorer in one of the hardest leagues in the world last season. Great signing :50:

Miku is going to be an excellent signing but he's not ours to keep unfortunately.

Forster was obviously a good signing but I've no idea about the other two.

All in all, not the best of preparations before entering the CL. I think we're gonna come up well short in certain areas still depending on injuries and suspensions.

We will have an option to buy at the end of his loan deal. Hopefully, by that time, they will have reduced his value quite a bit. If he is good enough, I wouldn't mind the board shelling out about £4m for him. The Huns (old club version) paid that for Jelavic and he's now a star in the Premiership. As much as I hate to say it, he repaid them every penny during his stay there.

I was waiting on someone saying that....its about basic genetics. Black people have more "fast twitch" muscle fibres and higher testosterone levels.

There is a knee-* reaction to any discussion that highlights the differences between races. But the fact is that, by and large black athletes of African extraction (thanks to the slave trade including Caribbeans, and African-Americans) tend to be stronger, faster and more successful than their caucasian counterparts. You could say that blacks have a genetic advantage over other races. Superior if you like.

For example, the most successful 100 metre sprinters are black, and the most successful heavyweight boxers are black. We could go through most popular sports and we will find that black people tend to perform better where speed and strength are significant as part of their chosen sport.

Now before you go and get yer knickers in a twist....dont mistake racism for common sense!

And whoever reported me for making that comment...can suck my *!:50:

Thought it was a wind-up the Miku signing, i watch a lot of La Liga and this guy has real ability and dare i say it if we are playing CL with one up top Hooper will probably be benched. Delighted with Ambrose and i will have to wait and see about the Keeper and Target man. Good window :50:
