TRANSFER WINDOW CLOSED - Thoughts?

I'm very happy. With the youth we have coming through the only signings we need at the moment are guys who will likely walk into the starting 11. I'd think Ambrose and Miku will. The GK was just a necessary extra addition but who knows, maybe he'll challenge big FF who let's not forget was a fantastic signing earlier in the window.

The league is in the bag, I'm confident we can do ourselves proud and with the money we have gained we'll be in a stronger financial position this time next year to have a real crack at the Champions League.

Well done Lennon, well done Celtic.

It's not been one off though, he's been excellent every appearence this season so far.

He keeps this up for another 5-10 games I may consider changing my opinion on him.

 

Happy with it, people talk about CL money and Ki but remember we have wages to cover of signings as well as paying off some debt and leaving money for January if we're still in Europe. We'll also give current players wage increases.

 

I hope Celtic can get through the Group stage with the deals done that add something to the team, but i also want one or two guys in the door with experience, that would help the young players at the club. And even if we get a big name thats past their best they can offer something and freshen the place up.

And we need to win the two domestic cups and make this a special treble year going into our 125th year of unbroken history

 

Fair enough, mate. I agree that Gordon is a brilliant shot stopper, but his injury record is a massive shadow. Isn't he still injured now? Look at what Fraser did for us in Helsingborg, an injured Gordon would've been of no help.

The thing I hate the most is people saying oh we got all this CL and Ki money in and only spent 1m, disgrace for the club blah blah blah. As I say it's not about how much money you spend, but what you do with it, if 1m is enough to fill our needs, then that's great. In the current financial climate, spending money just for the sake of spending money would be suicidal.

Thing is that a lot of the best signings Lenny's made have been on free transfer (Ledley, Mulgrew, Matthews) and most of the others hardly broke the bank, Wanyama cost less than 1m. That's our new transfer policy and it's working, we got some fantastic players through it. Would people rather we sign some EPL reject for 2-3m or a guy like Wanyama for considerably less?

 

Otsu went to VVV for €800k, So we really could not have found that for him big miss

Miku swung it for me - Makes it a good window . Without him it would have been * if we signed that Belguim dude instead .

Still think we could have bought a few players like Otsu who was a steal at the price and would have improved us big time and could have been sold on in the future .

 

you want to get your head out of these forums and out to the real bad world and reality, and then listen to the real fans who talk at the games, pub, work, and freinds then you will get the true feelings of fans, who know that they are getting * on, but I have met your type before, we never spend to accumulovate, and blow it big time

I go to almost every game, spend far too much time in pubs than is healthy, work with a bunch of Huns * and I've never met people as negative as some that post on here.
