We strengthened in the areas we needed, with what looks like good player(s). One maybe a loan deal but we couldn't afford 7-8m for that player anyway, we were prudent while still signing perceived quality.

Well done Celtic now time will tell :50:

5 million from Ki, more than 60,000 cleared off the wage bill, and almost 20 million guarenteed from CL TV rights and ticket sales, and we only spent 750,000 for ambrose and 2 loan signings, one of them a backup GK, no im not happy, hopefully this means we will make a push for del piero or another free agent

    Squad:

    GK: Forster, Zaluska, Kamenar
    RB: Matthews, Lustig
CB: Mulgrew, Rogne, Ambrose, Wilson, Wanyama (Fraser)
    LB: Izzy, Chalmers, Mulgrew
    RM: Forrest, Brown, McGeouch
CM: Brown, Kayal, Ledley, Wanyama, Twardzik
    LM: Sammy, Commons
    AM: Commons
ST: Hooper, Stokes, Miku, Watt (Free agent)

We have lots of strength in depth in midfield and upfront.

Would be impossible to pick a best starting 11 tbh

Hopefully if we sign another striker and keep injury free then we can scrape through in the CL.

I'm happy with the signings and it does not bother me that we only spent approx £3m , the only annoying thing is that the rest of the money from the £20m+ that is passing through our accounts will probably never be re invested in the squad in the future.

I tell you what, this was absolutely fantastic business and see at the end of the season, when all the doom mongers and naesayers go crawling under there rock when they realise, Celtics going to have record profits this year and we'll come back next year even stronger.

With more money to make an attack on the Champions League, we'll bank this and we'll raise more next year and we will make a proper go of it in my opinion.

Chuffed with our business this window, hearing good things about Miko, so looking forward to seeing him and Ambrose, also great to keep our main men, could have lost a few had we not qualified.

Intrigued as to who the other striker is though.

All in all good business, happy chappie :D

We got rid of tons of dross, sold Ki, signed Forster up, and got a promising CB and a guy who's scored goals in La Liga.

    Happy as Larry.

You know it's been a good window when the bold Sammy is pleased with it.

I've been thinking second is possible since the draw and these signings definitely won't harm our chances, very excited now for the first champions league game against benfica.

To be fair, it does seem a bit * when you put it like that. However...........

We didn't have to spend much to get Wanyama and he's been good, the same can be said of Kayal and Izaguirre too. So I'm trying to console myself with the thought that Ambrose will turn out the same way. And if Miku turns out to be good then maybe we will be able to sign him permanently at a later date like we did with Forster.

I really wish folk who were negative, depressed * by nature, who wished nothing more than to spread negativity and depression throughout football forums, would receive an automatic ban. I'm fed up reading the same pish from two or three pessimistic individuals on here, no matter what the club does. Such a shame that the minority feel the need to try and ruin it for everyone.

The aim is to scare the * out of teams like Barca
    4 signings this window
    Forster (6'7)
    Ambrose (6'3)
    Miku (6'1)
    Kamenar (6'4)

Getting the big guys in for the intimidation factor :50::56:

Delighted we appear to have got a Goodun up front. Don't know about the CB but trust in their judgement. Could have been much worse.
