I'm glad we got some deadwood out the door, so that's good.

I'm also pleased that we signed Fraser Forster(although I would still rather have had Craig Gordon). I've never heard of Ambrose or Miku, and Kamenar will be lucky if he sees much game time, so I will wait and see what these players are like before getting excited or being disappointed.

    Verdict: Wait and see.

Delighted with the way we went about our business with hopefully one surprise striker still to come in. Bugging me though who it could or will be.

The amount of money spent isn't what matters but what those players can bring to the teams development. Having the GK and CB deals signed and sealed were by far pre-season the two most important positions that needed to be filled. Having Miku and the other GK in on loan with option to buy makes perfect sense also.

    Well done Celtic. :50:

A 28% strike rate in La Liga, I think is what it comes out to be, is pretty impressive. I just want to see how he performs in the hoops before I make any judgement.

Very solid plan from Celtic - secure european football, bring in players in positions we need strengthening/cover.

Overall i'm really pleased. I have to admit i'm basing this sense of satisfaction on the thoughts and views of those on the site who have seen more of the new signings than I have. That being said, the stuff on Miku speaks for itself and as for Ambrose, Nigeria are a very good side, so a young, well-capped player has to be worth a go.

Two keepers and a potential free striker (jesus please give us del bhoy) is the icing.

Was already buzzing for the CL, with the new faces i'm totally made up. Here's hoping they bed in with the squad sharpish and we get them playing at their best asap!

    love you celtic

And hopefully Ambrose is the centre half we've all been crying out for. Clueless about him as well. I guess he was playing for a mid-talble club in Israel.

Not bad. I wanted a CB and a target man and Celtic delivered. As others have said, I maybe would have liked a more experienced CB as well but hopefully Ambrose does well. With the possibility of another addition over the weekend, I am not too disappointed.

Not the Scottish Premier League. The Scottish Football Leagues close at 12.

    * them.

They are beneath us, to the tune of around 35 clubs beneath us.

Still? After his performances for us so far this season?

I wanted Fraser before he signed but I could understand why some wanted Gordon, although I thought big Fraser had convinced the doubters by now.

Well we have signed in the positions required, now we just wait and see how the individuals perform. Obviously would like to see some more dough being parted with, but I trust those involved with the signings.

I'm not a "doubter". Forster's a good goalkeeper, I think he's done well for us ever since first arrived here. I just happen to rate Craig Gordon particularly highly. Some people were getting very excited at the prospect of Del Piero arriving here, well that's kinda how I felt in the summer when I heard we might be getting Craig Gordon.

It's nothing against Forster at all, I just would have loved to see Craig Gordon in goals for us.

I fear it, I fear it! I also fear that bouncy cheque book. :icon_mrgreen:

This kind of sums it up for me.

I would have liked a couple of household names but I trust Lenny and the scouting team.

Here's hoping we can give at least one of them half an hour tomorrow.

Pretty pleased. Got Forster in for real, a striker with international and la liga experience, a centre half and a back up goalie while getting rid of a lot of deadwood and decent money for Ki. :50:

Not to mention this mystery free agent

    If Lenny's happy, I'm happy! :50:

Fair do's mate. Wasn't calling you a doubter as such, that was more a general musing :50:
