Hahaha, some of this Hooper pish is actually hilarious. Eejittery.net (invention of a word there.)

The guy is our best striker - by far. So far this season, he has had to be relatively selfless (see ICT game) whereas on Saturday he was a gnat's pissflap hair away from a double.

Honestly, I am sometimes baffled by the nonsense spouted occasionally on here.

If he stays fit, Hooper starts, and scores more goals than anyone else on our books. Because he is * class - especially at SPL level. We are hugely lucky to have a guy of that calibre here, although some seem to be incapable of seeing it.

And yes, I know, he is also lucky to be an extremely rich man via wages paid to him. But Jesus Christ, unless he scores 2 * goals a game there seems to be recurring "ooh, he's fat / ooh, he's not playing well" blah blah blah bullshit.

Ask Tony Watt how he played against ICT, and the team how valuable he is to Celtic as a whole. Then repeat some of the waffle. I dare you.

Absolutely cunting ridiculous, in all honesty.

Due to the age difference im inclined to disagree, he isnt a replacement for a player past his best (i liked big dan mind you) , he is a raw growing talent with sell on potential, the same as vic

big dan was never anything more than a stop gap, which efe isnt

Aye, but I just meant in terms of what type of player he is. It's great that he is so young, though. Hopefully he's very mobile and fits into our setup well.

I think some fans are easily led by by press and things. Like they usually call him a "box player", "penalty box striker", "poacher", even Dalziel on Clyde 1 always refers to him as "like Kris Boyd".

So people I think just assume thats true, and whenever he doesnt score he was pish.

Yet when you actually watch him, he never hangs around the box, he does most of his work around the half way line and roams the whole oppositions half, links up greatly with all of our players and plays best when facing goal and attacking with pace. One of his best assets too is his vision and passing and the speed he can play at, he can get the ball turn, spot a pass, play it and make a run in the blink of an eye.

Ambrose is * rapid btw. Agree with an earlier comment, would rather have a defender who is comfortable on the ball than a big bruiser.

I still have nightmares from when bobo and telfer were passing the ball between them like a hot potato in the CL against Man U. Was nothing short of embarrassing.

Saying that actually quite like big Bobo but was a bomb scare in his last season.

I want to see how fast he is.

I was googling to find out stuff about him and ended up on some Nigerian football website.

    2 guys arguing about him
    ahidjo:

How many games involving Ambrose Efe have you watched closely? I mean recoreded and rewatched or are you part of the large army of those that remain sentimental over these issues. I have watched Ambrose in action very closely and observed that he is one of the most intelligent and composed defenders we have now. He is by far the fastest in the team and does a lot of great work in the defence. He was the best Nigerian defender on parade against Rwanda last June. Please get tapes and watch
    Dhelake:

Did i hear u say fastest? ... Dat sluggish guy

So 1 guy called him Nigerias fastest player and another didnt even think he was fast. :56:

Whilst YouTube can be misleading in terms of judging a players abilty it is quite clear to see that the guy is pretty rapid. I think he'll be our quickest cb in years (wouldn't be hard I know)

Dont know what that other Nigerian guy is smoking but I'd like some

Just heard graham hunter on sky sports say -- that celtic's signing of Lassad
Was done through the proper agent and that levante had
    Dealt with the wrong agent

He also said - Celtic had got themselves a creative player and for nothing
    Sounds good :50:
