They've signed Marco Reus from Monchegladbach so they've got 2 strikers now.

Is Reus not more of a attacking winger/inside forward?

He can play right up top though. They'll still need a back up striker right enough.

"Oribe Peralta managed to score 7 goals to finish as top scorer of the tournament. In total Oribe Peralta managed to score 43 goals in the entire season. This feat is incredible considering that he did not score a single penalty but rather all his goals were from normal play. In europe only the likes of Klaas-Jan Huntelaar, Mario Gomez, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Lionel Messi managed to score more goals this season"

43 goals is impressive. I could only see us going for him if we moved on Stokes or Bangura as he doesnt seem like the strong striker that lenny wants. Theres a few boys from Mexico on here so they will know more about him than me though.

Hearing Arouna Kone as well! would be a cracking signing he was brilliant for Levante last season. Levante have just excerised there right to buy him after his loan spell from Sevilla but they are looking to sell him straight away at a profit, just as they did with Calciedo last season. He has a 10 euro buy out clause but they will be looking for no were near that I would imagine. They sold Caciedo for 7.5 million euros and he was much younger than Kone so I think a fee would be around the 4-5 million euro mark (just a personal estimation).

Also yes Kone had a terrible record at Sevilla for some reason but his record everywhere else is brilliant.

Alan Thompson was over in Jersey for our annual Celtic dinner. He rang up Michael Owen when he was out for lunch with my uncle and a few others and asked him if he wanted to sign for Celtic on a pay per play deal and Owen said he's interested and gave Thommo his agents details. Thommo had said him and Neil had suggested it to the board and it got the go ahead which is why he rang him.
I can assure you this is true, so I think its just down to Celtic and the agent to strike up a deal.

I don't know if I want him or not as he's very injury prone but his experience could help, also the pay per play deal would be the best for us.

I just cant see a semi big name accepting a pay as you play deal with a club like us. I would most definetly take Owen on that deal though. He still is an outstanding finisher, regardless or what injury prone tags get thrown about. His minutes to goal ratio for Man united must be brilliant because hes managed 17 goals in his time there but he only makes minor sub appearances in the league and plays cup games.

id take owen for that deal, he would help us out for CL no doubt but as true as your story probally is, from an outsider it comes across as a "aye okay" moment.

    Hope thats true though :50:

Yeah I'm expecting people to not believe it as it is quite unbelievable but I'm not talking * haha.

Off topic but Kevin Bridges is coming to Jersey in July and he's sold out but one of the other guys didn't have a ticket so Thommo got the phone out again and rang Kevin Bridges to sort tickets out for the guy and Kevin Bridges said no problem and took the guys details.

Thommo was an absolute legend over here, started doing the COYBIG at the dinner ahaha! He's coming back next year.

Also he thinks in 3 years time we will be in the Championship due to something about the TV deals being up or something ?! And he said Bangura is never as young as what his passport says as his knees are *. haha
