Very good source, Celtic are to make a bid for Sloan Pivat at the start of next week, we have been scouting him recently and I can only persume he was the backup choice to the Latvian guy from Poznan.

Was out on loan to Clemont in Ligue II and chipped in with 20 goals, very good with both his feet - an all round striker who has the potential to further develop and increase in value.

As far as I know he's on about £10K a week just now, and has a contract running til '14 so will fits the £3M fee we are willing to spend.

This will be in the media in the coming days.

You mean that Lech were after him ? To be backup for Rudnev ? Then i'll pass. Rudnev was amazing in the begining of the season than completely lost it. If he is not better than Rudnev than he'll not make it here.

Pay £3m for a guy who was playing in Ligue II last year? No Thanks. Could spend £3m better than that imo

He didn't say that. He's saying he must be our back up plan to Rudnevs. Rudnevs was our main target, since he we didn't get him, we've moved to this guy:50:

So, if this 22 year old isn't better than the guy who was top scorer in the Polish premier league by 7 goals he's not good enough for us ?

Trust me. In recent form Rudnev wouldn't make it here. He banged like 18 goals at the begining of the season (couple of hat-tricks) and then simply added 4 through most of the season by scoring penalties. Even he himself said that before he'll change a club he would like to get his form back.

So if this is the backup plan than I don't see much positive in this...

Sloan Privat scored 5 goals from 11 starts this season - all headers. The guy is 22 and his goal scoring record is 'decent'. £3,000,000 could be a bit much for a player like Privat but if the scouts trust him then go for it. We've found guys like Kayal & Izzy, nobody knew who they were. We are lacking a striker who can score headers and Privat looks good. Whether he's good enoug for us, I don't know.

"Started 17 of his 67 games at Sochaux scoring 12 times in all competitions!" Brilliant starts to goals record.

You have to wonder why he is starting so few though?

We should definetly be looking at Dmitry Bulykin from Ajax, his contract runs out this summer and is actually word to word what Neil Lennon and Celtic need! Height, strength and lethal finishing who is credited for his work ethic.

In no short supply of experience either been at some of the top clubs in Europe; Leverkuesen, Ajax, Dinamo Moscow, Anderlecht. Good scoring record as well 9 goals in 19 games this season for Ajax.

He reminds me of a mix between JVOH and a slower Lubo. Might not have scorching pace but more than makes up for it with his aerial, physical and attacking attributes.

Hope Lennon knows about this guy!

if he can score headers, * about defenders and generally be a battering ram for us upfront then sign him. As that is the kind of striker we need IMO.

was watching the RKC vs Vitesse playoff game in the eredivisie and Wilfried Bony upfront for Vitesse looks good. Scored 2 and one was a decent header. Not sure how much hed cost though.

Also they have a CB called Guram Gashia or something who the commentator said has been quality all season. Also Davy Propper an attacking mid looked decent, dont know much about those two but I have heard about Wilfried.
