Michael Owen? Just out of contract at Man Utd. Maybe on a pay as you play kinda thing, if he lowers his wage demands.

Came to say the exact same thing. He would have to take a considerable wage cut though, there's probably still teams in England who will still pay him stupid money unfortunately

I'll second that, was going to suggest Owen, reckon he would score lots up here and in he has vast experience in European could be a great signing, his wage will be massive though

Plus he is greedy (£), arrogant (said he would rather sit on Man Utd's bench than play for a side outwith the 'Big 4') and about as robust as sugar glass.

He will * off to America or Dubai and top up his tan while no doubt "injured".

I came here to raise the Owen thing as well, but like Senna says, I can see him going to one of the UAE countries or the USA.

Shame, as he'd be a great addition up here. Imagine playing someone like Slask Wroclaw in a CL quali and just casually bringing on one of the best centre-forwards of recent times off the bench in the 70th minute! Would give Celtic Park such a lift.

    Michael Owen - NO
    Craig Gordon - NO

I'd like Forster to sign up, but if he doesn't then I'd like to look elsewhere. Owen for me is too old and he's not the fittest player to have.

Owen are use for real! The guys falling to bits. He walks to the shops and he pulls a hamstring. Waste of wages.

Seedorf has said he has a soft spot for Celtic and the fans, think he is off to South America though!

Tha what a pay-as-you play deal is for. I know its highly unlikely he would agree to that, but worth a try. If he's happy to sit on the bench in a PL team and pick up his wage packet then so be it. One thing for sure he would score goals up here

I'd take him on a pay to play deal the way Utd had, if Owen could stay fit then there's no way we could turn him down, on form he's still one of the best goals scorers in England.

Owen is not what we need we already have a similar player in hooper We need a striker who can actually score headers.
