aye i think even if Gordon is available on a free, we'll still end up signing Forster, unfortunately.

I would be happier with Forster than Gordon at the moment. Gordon's barely played in 3 years.

Clearly didn't watch his performance against St Mirren or his saves against Sion.

he hasn't done anything wrong. there was a massive debate on here if we should take him back during the saga in the window.

i simply feel we could of got better. no doubt he will be a good in the future but can we wait for him to develop? if the option was Forster or Gordon on a free next summer, i'll be praying for the latter.

i missed the away tie unfortunately (or fortunately). he had a great game against St Mirren and i'm grateful for it. in fact he was on of the best players on the park.

i was at the home tie against Sion and he scared me before the match. made about 3 saves from 20 during the warm up.

he has a lot of work to do. his commanding of his area, communication and kicking come to mind straight away. this is his last chance to prove his worth to us. i know people will point to our clean sheet records last season but stats only go so far. it also makes our defence look great which we can all agree that it wasn't. those clean sheets have much to do with the midfield pressing than it does our defence. during the Rangers game, they only had one shot all match yet Forster takes claim for a clean sheet. i would like to see how many saves he made last season.

two great games from 50 odd is hardly outstanding. personally i hope he does continue this form he has found.

i would of liked seeing him here as he is versatile and would bag goals up here if fit. the only chance we had is if Samaras left to make room but he didn't so i can't see it happening.

ive always had my doubts about big forster but the last two games against sion and st mirren he has showen what he is capable of and i hope he keeps it up :50:
the sion game none of the goals were his fault and saved a right few more from going in the back of the net that night

He's a free agent. We could still sign him.

    Vicente Rodríguez anyone?

Released by Valencia during the summer.

Left winger who could offer something different as, IMO, we only have Commons who can really play out there and do so comfortably and effectively.

Granted the lad has been plagued by injuries so why not have a pop on a pay as play basis... Just turned 30, so would bring some experience, inlcuding European experience, having played 57 times in Europe, scoring 6 goals in the process!

Been quoted as having 'above-average technique, pace and netting ability' and has played over 300 games over the past 11 seasons.

Scored 9 in 57 for Levante and 50 in 319 for Valencia...

    Thoughts?

    is he not with Stoke?

at this point i'd nearly offer Mcfadden a deal if only to add a bit of class to the squad, lots of extra games coming up with europa fixtures to play!

While watching Wales 2-1 victory over Montenegro, although at fault for the first goal, I thought their keeper Mladen Božović looked pretty good. From the exception of the first goal, he had a pretty good command of his box. Celtic should maybe check him out.

I find it puzzling that we haven't made an offer.

McFadden said that he doesn't want to sign for a club until he's 100% injury free.

us and Wolves have been linked with McFadden again today. i would take him but i feel it would of been more of a certainty if Samaras was moved on before the window shut.
