    I agree that he is versatile but he cant turn and chase wingers. If we got a decent centre half then there would be plenty of cover there. Wallace could play out wide on the left aswell (pace). Dont get me wrong I think mulgrew is decent but wallace would be a better attacking option.

    1 - nigel reocoker on an free - have enough midfielders tho

    2 - james mcfadden on free

    3- julien faubert from west ham. quick and experienced. maybe get him for 1 - 2 mil on 18k pw

    Scoring record not great - has he played more up front or out wide?

    Also, must be a reason he's been released with 1 year to go - or are Stuttgart in financial trouble?

    Grzegorz Sandomierski looks like the Everton stuff has come to nothing or could still be going on we should be in for him.

    According to wiki Southampton have had a £3.25M bid rejected. Would probably do well up here but not worth that sort of cash.

    The Championship really has went mental this summer. Wonder what sort of cash Hooper would be going for if we hadn't got him last year.

    ...up front. before last season, Commons was a poor mans McFadden. think McFadden's talents and versatility offers something to the club and on a free it's a no brainer for me.
