    Why would you be against signing him?

    If it’s due to style fair enough, I’d agree he’s not a ball playing goalkeeper, Trevor Carson (not suggesting) would probably be the better option if we looked in the Scottish premier.

    But if it’s down to goalkeeping ability, he’s better than barkas and bain, probably the best keeper after mcgregor in the league in my opinion.

    Or you just genuinely want better and think we should be aiming higher?

    Siegrest is a good keeper who had a superb season last year.

    I dare say there are better options out there but if it’s a direct toss up between him and what we have then him it is.

    I don't want Dundee United's goalkeeper. Call me a snob or whatever but if it was as a first choice option I'd see it as a cheap option...again.

    The Barkas and Bain comparisons, aye fair, but that's not a huge compliment. The former is the worst goalkeeper I've seen supporting celtic.

    I'd take siegrist as back up/challenge to a new No1. You could say we spent money on barkas and that didn't work but, that doesn't mean I don't want us spending decent money on a GK ever again.

    During this current time and given the urgency of the matter, signing players from within Scotland isn’t a bad idea.

    There’s a few that could be had that would be improvements on what we have currently. Our best player last season came in from Motherwell…

    Turnbull is a bit different though. He was/is the standout young Scottish player playing in the league.

    Akin to a Mcginn, Mccarthy type signing. I'm fully behind that.

    Just not sure Dundee uniteds no1 improves us massively. Is he better than out current crop of keepers? Probably. But again it's not difficult.

    I would like to think we could try and do better for the no1 spot.

    We can defo do better but for now I'm happy to get anyone that actually resembles a goalkeeper.. get him in and get the others ta * and then work on getting another in..

    Could be nonsense too.. as I said this rumour seems to have come from United fans..

    Im sure Arsenal wanted him before they signed that other lad not so long ago.

    Also I’m sure Nottingham Forrest are interested as well.

    He is meant to be a really good prospect and at least we are linked with a left back finally.

    Any available spfl keeper or reserve keeper would be better than bain and barkas.we knew last season they were * and did nothing now with a fecking week to our first game we are trying to shoehorn a keeper in.graig gordon was let go because he wanted a 2 year contract extension and our board were only willing to give him a 1 year extension. Until DD and that tory board are gone we will not move forward.HH

    Yeah that’s fair enough, I’d definitely take Siegrist right now, he wouldn’t need to quarantine and we’d have a decent keeper for our next euro game after midtylland, win or lose we have at least another game. And a decent keeper for the league opener.

    I also think he’d either play a few games then never play again as I don’t think he’s a keeper that is good on the ball or worse, we don’t sign another keeper and have no keepers that are suitable for Ange.

    Started the season on fire with Huddersfield, then ended up carrying an injury through the second part of the season. Before he got injured the supporters thought he’d be off to the PL after a season. He’s had interest from Sporting and think he would fit in here nicely.

    Its too late i fear.they have a settled team and we are running round last minute as usual.until ownership and the board are changed we are going backwards.huns will win the league and instant cl money.hope to * im am wrong but from the shambles of a defense we have especially our keepers i cant see us winning the league back .HH
