    Our scouts need to actually scout affordable right backs. £10m for Castagne or £8m for Elabdellaoui is what they’ve come up with.

    Surely plenty of cheaper options available.

    Yip I said that in the transfer thread.

    Clearly in the summer we were willing to pay a decent chunk for Pinicci around £6m again I think but we dragged our heels and he went to Valencia so the area is identified the thing that gets me is he went to Valencia very early in the summer window and we didn’t do anything about it. Now we have identified the two you mention and their clubs are saying double what we have reportedly bid/starting price whatever.

    I do expect us to get a signing or 2 more but I won’t hold my breathe of yet again we come out a window without a CB and RB then it’s gross negligence on all parties!

    For me

    Hendry, Compper and Boyata should all be gone this window.

    Leaves us with Benkovic, Ajer and Jozo who is injured again! It’s * shambolic!

    Would Gary Cahill be realistic? Out of contract in the summer and has just rejected Fulham because he wants a longer term deal. Never been a huge fan but I think he would coast it up here

    IF Brendan is wanting only quality and looking at 8m-10m right backs , we should move for Deandre Yedlin , 25yr old American International , watched him a few times he's athletic ,can get up and down the pitch, rapid and likes to attack, would walk into our team like Tierney.

    With Tierney struggling with Injury we should put a bid in for Meling at Rosenborg. Would be a decent signing plus would allow us to rest Tierney more when he is back to fitness.
