I agree. I'm in no way defending the undefendable but the midfield has went unblamed for far too often. You dont win matches if you dont have the ball and our midfield cant hold on to it long enough.

What my point is the midfield go unblamed week in week out when they are to blame at times as much as the defence

 

oh aye, sometimes I wish we were as water-tight as them accross the other side and use our footballing players to attack. Aye they give the ball away rarely. That's what you've to aim for.

The reason we've been conceding goals is 1) Individual errors (Loovens/Rogne/Maj/etc) 2) Inability to defend set-pieces.

We have averaged over the past 4-5 games 56% possession or so. We generally camp inside the opposition half.

Over the course of a game any team in the world are going to at some stage lose possession and go under a bit of pressure. Our problem is we cannot deal with the slightest of pressure.

 

Thank * someone sees some sense. It kills you to admite but they know how to keep possesion. You wont beat a team if you cant get the ball off them. Barcelona are a prime example of that

Though we did do alright at St Johnstone with the score at 2-3 to us, but that's sort of it isn't it? That the score went from 0-3 to 2-3. Maj played superb that game and while he has made errors, he's still come away with credit for me

What about Curtis Davies who is frozen out at Villa at the moment? Cost them around £8m. Will win everything in the air. Has a turn of pace and can tackle. Was knocking on England's door a couple of years back before injury. Wouldn't be overly expensive to buy but wages may be a problem.

What happened to the guy from Mallorca last year, think he was called Ramas? Could he be a possibility?
