    We should though, and we paid over 1 million for a 32 year old who was known to have injury problems.

    Should have no problems paying 2million for a guy like klavan that would immediately tighten up our defence

    Maximillian Wober from Ajax supposidly tried to buy him last year before he went.

    Dario Maresix 18 centre back from Sturm Graz only signed a new deal but would be a great signing.

    These are all £6 million plus defenders.

    Problem is we have a manager who like other fans in other countries is brain washed that England is the best country in the world granted you get good players from their but they are always snapped up by English big sides or cost way too much and settli g for their fringe players are just not good enough.... Only the epl bench players are good enough but they expect same wages as brown...... And then their is personnel where Rodgers believes if you have worked in epl as a member of staff that it makes you a world beater

    I wouldn’t mind taking a punt on young masterson at Liverpool although Klopp rates him highly so could be only a season long loan at best made the bench for a few of their champions league games last year I know it’s not the same as making appearances but his wages surely wouldn’t be much so a cheap punt for a season to get us out.

    Otherwise I wouldn’t mind seeing ciaran Clark coming up or Duffy at Brighton talks of both leaving maybe some kind of swap deal for Judas could be arranged.

    Probably already been mentioned in here, but I didn't realise Mulumbu and Yacob were both still available on free transfers.

    Either of them could be a decent back up option to rotate with Brown when he might need rested.

    Hopefully if true Congerton use previous history to get it over the line. Seen Wolfsburg near relegated so maybe there downsizing or heading in a new direction.

    Finally linked with a good centre back, plenty experience and would be a major improvement.

    He was out for 9 months last year after a knee operation so most likely done his cruciate.

    Right now I'd take the risk.

    It's getting to that stage. He's no nonsense but can play when needed, pretty much the definition of what we require. Get him in along with another CB to pls.
