Get Robin Olsen in during the January window. Established, experienced, and still young. Ticks all the boxes.

    Would love David Ospina.

    Probably unrealistic though.

Danny Ward for me, 3rd choice at Liverpool zero chance of becoming Number 1 there as Klopp seems to rate Karius higher

Haven’t seen him play hardly at all.

Why are you suggesting him? Is his distribution good? Or does he just have potential?

Don’t watch a lot of Dutch football but I think we would be wise to search the Dutch market for defenders.

Very good technically gifted players that learn how to play proper football from an early age in the Dutch system. Would suit the style that Brendan wants to play and would be better than buying a defender that isn’t comfortable with his style and trying to coach them how you want to play.

I know not every Dutch defender will be as good as Van Dijk but he is a great example of the type of defender that can be picked up.

St Juste at Feyenoord is one I have heard a lot about. Don’t know what he would cost though.

We should keep an eye on that Harry Cochrane at Hearts.

Might be a bit of a cheap suggestion, but Brandon Barker's looked * good for Hibs this season.

Pacey winger, plenty of talent, and he's still only 20 years old. Doubt he'll ever get a look in at Manchester City. Would be a cheap option for a backup winger next summer. Still has plenty of room to grow as well.

He’s no better than Mikey Johnston from what I’ve seen of them both.

Honestly think Barker looks completely * average.

He can run but his end product is some of the worst about. Not a football brain at all.

    Out of contract keepers in summer 18;

    Joel Robles
    Michel Vorm
    Wayne Hennessey
    Tim Krul

I’d take any one of them over Gordon.

Big Hennessey would be a belter of an aquisition to our squad.

Robles has never impressed me, and Krul hasn't had a decent game in about 5 years.

Dunno what the script is with Vorm, don't actually think I've seen him play in about 3 years?

Against Vorm is the fact he’s 34 and is a reserve Spurs keeper. For him is the fact Rodgers knows him, which can mean something I.e. Sinclair & DDV

I’ve seen little of Robles tbh, I base that entire post on the fact I’m now desperate for a replacement keeper.

    I’d rather Hennessey over Vorm.

If we're gonna go down the route of what Rodgers knows etc, then there's no reason why DDV (a player who he knows, and a player who he already HAS at his disposal) shouldn't be getting a shot.

37 next Friday but aye, I’d still prefer him..

DDV was just really unlucky the timing of the Barca away game last season, absolutely destroyed his confidence.

I'd disagree in saying it destroyed De Vries' confidence, probably destroyed the confidence of others in him.

What the * do you expect though from a guy who had just played his first competitive match after being injured for the best part of 3 months, against possibly the best team in world fitba, and the greatest player in history...

I was coming in to suggest Tim Krul.

    Would definitely take him here.
