    I've been waiting all Summer for this rumour. He loves us, we'd love him, but it's never going to happen. He's settled in Qatar with his family and working towards his coaching badges while promoting football out their before they host the World Cup. He's on a wage even Desmond wouldn't look twice at. That said though, I'd happily repay my season ticket fees again if we signed him. Imagine going from McGregor/Armstrong to Xavi :56:

    If we could get an all rounder type of player for the middle of the park, then I think that would be the missing piece of the jigsaw. On a smaller scale, but a similar type of player to what Gerrard was is exactly what we need in my opinion. Pity it won't be Delaney, because I think he would have been ideal.

    He may be 36 but he is being wasted over there. Look at the * he is playing with and in front of. Minuscule crowds.
